SquadronLeader (1/28/2011)
We may need to consider editing the aircraft.cfg file to get rid of those flaps. The problem is that the file that came with the aircraftis telling FSFS that the plane has flaps.
Let us look into what type of edit would be needed to do this - it should not be complex. You can make a back-up of the aircraft.cfg file to be safe.
As noted before, the modified aircraft.cfg I recieved screws up the touchdown process somehow that I end up stuck with the tail in the ground. Removing the flaps from the aircraft.cfg without side-effects doesn't seem trivial judging from the (lack of) reply on the A2A support forums.
So if the next FSFS version could simply ignore flaps if every value is "0" (or any other "bandaid" fix you deem useful) that would rock!

Andi: I see what you mean. We'll see what we can do about (optionally) ignoring any flaps defined in the aircraft.cfg file. If we make a change we'll keep you posted here.

Well, Sq, i got new issue. When i load new flighplan (i use fs9 cause it runs fine with Ivao. And Ivao+Fsfs is... real as it gets) i see that ILS freq. is gone, all over the Europe. I've rebuilt database but nothing has changed: fsfs can't see if landing airport is ils assisted (neither in LIRF, f.e). It can see ILS frequency only in "Usa based" flights.

Hi you all,
I too can't get a landing score higher tahn 26.75 with FSFlyingSchool 2011, because of a
systematic "Landed without a proper approach OR off runway surface", even with :
* Good glideslope on ILS approach. [80%]
* Good alignment with runway on ILS approach. [100%]
* Gentle touchdown. [220 FPM]
* Good landing speed - not too fast. [63 KIAS]
* Wings were level.
* Glideslope held until flare.
* Good pitch control after touchdown.
* Good pitch at landing.
* With flaps - good job.
* Heading aligned with runway.
* Throttle(s) idle.
* Good controlled final descent to touchdown.
* Good steering after landing.
Very frustrating, indeed..
Regards
Thierry

Hi - Let's see if we can help! Are you using a non-English version of Windows? What version number is FSFS2011? What date is shown at the credits screen of FSFS2011?

Hi SquadronLeader,
Glad you are here, always ready to hear from your pupils.
My Win7- 64 is basically a french one, but turned into english thanks to Vistalizator.
My installed FSFlyingSchool 2011 (the one I've downloaded for a fresh new install 3 days ago) reads : V4.0.4, and the date is : Jan 21 2011.
Thank you for your help.
