Any ideas what programs I need to do that? Sounds like a mega challenge. Could be really fun. But I don´t know the first thing about repainting. Where do I learn? HM..... I will start by scanning the web for ideas how to, unless you have a package idea SL:

It would have to be my LearJet though...

I'll have to leave it to you on this one Ole - this is not my area.

Please let us all know what you find out if you go searching for repaint software.

Leg 18: ENGM (Gardamoen Norway) to ESSA (Arlanda Sweden)

A little hop. Short flight that should not have any problems coming up. Barely time for a cup of coffee. But I can screw up a decent peace of work in an instant.

First we take off. No surprise here. Then the GPS says a three-right (or would have in WRC)                                Airport seen from above

Norway... Oil, wood, and rivers. Not that it shows here...                                                                            On the GPS path. Is that whipped cream down there?

And then Sweden. I thought it was Finland that has a lot of lakes, but Sweden has too.                                   Clear view below. good, now airport please!

The taxiing was better than the landing, so I just post screens from that.                                                          Need a rest, where do I park this damn thing?

OK Mr.Smith Hit me - hard!

Leg 19:

ESSA (Arlanda Sweden) to EFHK (Vantoe Finland)

Notised that JoeMini actually made a flight in a Learjet, and did well, so I really really needed a good flight to show him that I can too. This was the result.

Goodbye Sweden - Off to Finland.                                                                                                       My head in the clouds already? Fly straight you doggon you!

Look at that Jetstream - I´m not alone up in the skies.                                                                               OK. First time in Finland, Gotta make it good.

The tower keeps a keen eye out for me.                                                                                                  two reds, two whites. Looks damn good!

My flare was juuuust a bit too strong, and Mr.Smith went "you´re ballooning. Thank you!

But apart from that, it was pretty darn good.                                                                                           Fill´er up please!

What say you Smitty?

Leg 20:

EFHK (Vantoa Finland) to EPWA (Warsaw Poland)

How do one bounce back after a good flight? well you just aim to do it again. My flight to Poland went into the darkness, and thus giving me yet another glorious sunset to watch. I think I will just fly afternoons from now on, so I can watch darkness creep in. Lovely.

Ready to enter runway for take off                                                               Leaving Helsinki airspace                                                            South towards Poland, land of Lech Walenza.

Crossing the baltic sea                                                                                      Entering Poland                                                                               And then it begins, the wonderful sunset.

The sky on fire                                                                                               And one more of the burning sky.                                                                    Further south the darkness really creeps in on my little airplane.

See the beautyful colorchanges when night falls.                              Looks very winterly                                                                                                        Blueberry icecream on vanilla.

And when the airport finally shows itself, it´s almost complete dark                       Two whites, two reds, just continue man. Look and learn Mr.Smith.      It was rain, and thunder and lightning when I made it down.

Only one thing left to do. Park this one buddy, I gotta get a rest.

Smith my man! Whats your verdict?

I try to do this Joes way now. Only post the numbers, and the wrongs, if there are any to post.

Landing Score:108,29

Landing included the following problems:

  • Poor glideslope on ILS approach - you can do better.
  • Ballooning during landing - needs practice.

Definite room for improvement...

Flight Score:127,25

A smooth flight!

Leg 21:

EPWA (Warsaw Poland) to LHBP (Budapest Hungary)

The ultimate challenge, as far as I have experienced in the WWT. Started out fine, good weather, but up there I had about 25 knots of wind constantly pushing me to the side, so I just sat there correcting and correcting. Having no pedals can be a real pain sometimes, as you cannot hold the twist in the joystick at a constant rate.
And to add to the fun, my fuelcalculations didn´t include the extra effort of wind, so when I set down, I had just about enough fuel to burn a moth - 2% fuel that is.

But cruising is just boring work, and not hard, and luckily it was not a long flight. I expected the wind to ease off, when I got down to landing in Budapest, but no way. Here it got really challenging. I did the entire landing process in 22 knots of crosswind, going sideways through the glideslope, as the pictures will show.

When I finally landed - to the right of the centerline... I felt like I had just gone 12 rounds with Sugar Ray. My arms ached from the mucsletension and I must have lost 3 lbs. of weight from sweating. It was terrible, it was wonderful. It was amazing.

I didn´t hit the centerline, and expected Mr.Smith to start raving about that, but for once he must have been really impressed with my crosswind handling, because he said nothing of the kind. He just said...... tadaaaaaa. "I rate your landing at one hundred and fifty point five niner points"

Ladies and Gentlemen 150.59! I am the king of the world. I rock! Yipi-kai-aiiiiiiiiiiii

Little was I to know - at this point.                                                                 All clear for take off                                                                                    And up we go. Wind still relativly calm.

Passing the rivers of.... Babylon? Come sing with me Smitty!                           And now the Rockies... Indeed a world wide tour.                                           Getting cloudier and windy up here now.

Making a left turn towards the airport of Budapest                                             Runway in sight, why does the wind not calm?                                                            Keep it tight here, hold on to the controls.

And just sliding sideways down through the glideslope                                       No room for mistakes here                                                                      Boy it´s a long way down there today.

Why do they make the runways so small? I´ll never hit that                             Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees I did, not dead on, but still.                                                 2 liters of coffee and a clean pair of shorts please!

We are lucky to be alive Mr.Smith. What do you say?

Whoa Ole - well done my lad!

You're the 'King of the CrossWind'.

Hmmm - now I know what it meant in the manual when it said that we'd all get extra points for crosswind landings...

Nice time set the visibility to say 0.5 miles - you'll probably score so many points you'll need surgical help to stop smiling.

Fantastic Ole!  150 points....I'm done!  Game over.  I conceed.

The pictures of the world on fire was really cool!  I cannot figure out out to get the size of your pictures still.  I've got great pictures but they are just not showing up as nicely as yours.

Great flying my friend.

I had a few flights where my neck and shoulders hurt so bad that when I came up from the basement to beg wifey for a neck and shoulder massage....her exact words..."you gotta be kidding me..."  sheez....women.
