Glad the trick worked!
It sounds like you may have changed the option that determines when a flight ends AND you changed planes before the flight "ended"...?
Does this ring any bells?
The manual tells us...
In addition, you may choose to end the flight, after landing, when the aircraft is:
- Stopped or Taxiing
- Stopped and the parking brake is set
- Stopped and the parking brake is set and the engine(s) are off
FSFS-Tip In some aircraft, cutting off the fuel is difficult to achieve using the mouse with the on-screen aircraft controls, such as fuel mixture or jet fuel cut off, and so you may need to use Flight Simulator’s standard Ctrl+Shift+F1 to cut off the engine(s).
Golly I read and headed those instructions for ending flight in my previous flights but in my excitement to test out your recommendations I did not look at the end of flight setting -- I will have to go through the entire thing again -- but the "work around" does provide me with what I wanted otherwise.

GSP: Not sure if I mentioned - by default the flight ends when you are taxiing or stopped. But you can change this as described in the manual.

SL:
I re-flew several missions with FSFS connected using the work around technique. The end-of-flight setting I use is Stopped and Brakes Set. In any case I got both audio and log book scores so its what I wanted it to do. Thanks for your help.

I hope to improve since at the moment I seem to be in a funk! But I learned another thing about the work around procedure and that is if you end the flight (by what ever method you've chosen in FSFS) and you fail to RELOAD a flight plan then you will not get a Runway Heading Score on your next circuit! Mr. Smith notes the correct runway heading Okay since OBS is there but he will also comment that you did not file a flight plan with him on the approach. So you end up with ZERO for heading and ILS. So each flight I find a new thing I must remember to do. As soon as I get my scores fully working I will post even the sorry ones as a way to track how I improved (or got worse - but I am thinking positively here!)
I want to thank you for FSFS it has made the whole experience more exciting and real. Now if I can just get Mr. Smith to not nag me quite so much. . . . . .

Its great to see that you enjoy it so much. I hope that your real name is Ethan Hunt though, if you really want Mr.Smith to stop nagging. It really is a "Mission Impossible"
Look forward to seeing your scores on the web.

GSP: Yep - Always file a flight plan, each flight, with FSFS, unless you are going to do an ILS approach , in which case it is optional, but is still more fun and scores more points. Many thanks for the kind words - can we quote you?

Hey Ole - version 2.10 has some nice new logic in it which will tell you, during your flight, that you are doing a great job ... unless... you do something wrong!
