LZIB to LHBP (September 15) Bratislava, Slovakia to Budapest, Hungary. Extremely short fllight so I should be able to practice a landing and get a great score...errr...right. Start of a good flight...loaded up and ready to go. Good looking picture just shortly after takeoff.
Closing in on Budapest.
Getting all lined up and for whatever reason, I'm not lining it up again.... Flying Notes: Landing Score: 44.60 Flight Score: 131.80 Landing included the following problems: - Poor glideslope on ILS approach - you can do better.
- Glideslope lost before you touched down - not your best effort.
- Not near the centre line - you can do better.
Flight included the following problems: - Exceeding flap speeds - your flaps may be damaged: have them checked.
- Airspeed too low - you are risking stalls. (oops gotta a little TOO slow on final...just all kinds of problems...)

LHBP to LQSA (September 16) Budapest, Hungary to Sarajevo, Bosnia/Herzegovina Guess times have changed since the olympics but thank goodness the flight simulator doesn't know the difference. Neat little flight in the mountains, and the pictures where pretty impressive. Need a good score for a change. We'll see.... Hey look, UPS is now flying passengers? Off and away.
Really cool mountain scenery....
Rural and Mountains....really nice funneling in to land.
Lookin' out the passenger window....so far so good....looking good!
Flying Notes: Landing Score: 104.45 Flight Score: 145.77 (One of my highest Flight Scores) Landing included the following problems: - Not near the centre line - you can do better. (Figures Mr. Smith just can be nice to me...)
A smooth flight!

LQSA to LBYE (September 17) Sarajevo, Bosnia/Herzegovina to Bellgrade, Serbia and Montenegro Heading North east up through the mountains and over to Bellgrade, Serbia/Montenegro. Starting to get a little confidence going and Mr. Smith is starting to get off my case lately. Things are starting to go good. Cool looking mountain airport, although not much action in the way of planes.
Cool looking mountain pictures...trees in the fall colors.
Right on the money...but as usual, still off with my landing....gotta be the computer's fault? Flying Notes: Landing Score: 128.19 Flight Score: 136.69 A splendid landing! (Finally get a good landing and damn...just got to ruin it Mr. Smith)
Flight included the following problems: - Narrowly missed tail strike - watch your pitch: this could have been bad. (But it wasn't so what the heck?)
- Poorly trimmed aircraft - trimmers are there to help: use them. (Really? Sheez)

LROP to LTBA (September 20) Bucharest, Romania to Istanbul, Turkey Ok...here's where I got a little cocky. I tried to guess-timate my fuel needed for this flight. Based upon some discussions with Ole, I'm trying to use less fuel and do some fuel planning. Our pilots have not been trained in fuel management yet, so we are going to give it the college effort. However, it backfired on me. Please follow the picture story, but we lost another airplane. Families will be notified. 3rd crash if you are keeping track... New AI airliners...just another ordinary flight? Closing in on Istanbul. Cool looking Bluff over the water.
Turning onto final...you can't see it, but we're at 832 pounds of fuel left, and well as you can see...still got a bit to go.
Few seconds later, we are at 362 pounds of fuel...Rut Ro Astro...and in our next pic....We are completely out of fuel.
At this point we are dropping like a rock, but we are still above glidslope...2 white 2 red...we just might make it?
Oh shit...red over red...we're dead! Oh shit...who put buildings here? #!$!$#!%!%
Gotta love FSX Tower control...Delta Flight 64 contact ground....sheez. We almost made it. Had a full load of crap in my pants, and as much as I tried to get a glideslope I came up about 150 yards short....
Flying Notes: Landing Score: 0.00 Flight Score: 0.00 (Damn, this is going to hurt my scores again...)

LTBA to LTAC (September 20) Istanbul, Turkey to Ankara, Turkey Well after yet another crash, my 3rd of the tour, we're going to need to get the confidence of our new passengers. Decided to give out unlimited beers, and margarita's. Overbooked the flight, and it appears that airline safety records are not a concern if free booze is offered....nice. Bunch of Turkeys...errr...Turkish planes. Neat shot just shortly after lift off...
Good lookin shot of an airport on the water....just a shame I couldn't land it earlier....
Nutted the landing....dead on the money...and look, my plane is still smokin'... Flying Notes: Landing Score: 122.65 Flying Score: 145.60 (Booze = Smooth flight. Everything back to normal)
Landing included the following problems: - Too hard - may have damaged your landing gear.
A smooth flight!

LTAC to LGAV (September 20) Ankara, Turkey to Athens, Greece Part of the European tour I'm looking forward to flying in. I personally had a opportunity to travel to Greece for work. Got to stay there and "work"...(err..yea) for 21 days. In those 21 days, I got to travel all over Greece on the weekends. Saw the Acropolis, ran a lap at the old "olympic" stadium. Took a cruise one weekend to 3 Greek Isles, and got to see a lot of history. Man, was that a cool boondoggle trip! The water was crystal clear blue and I wished the scenery did a little more justice to the beauty of the Greek isles...but enjoy the pictures... Starting my pushback...and a new AI plane...Iz Air. Neat paint scheme....
Little prop plane in my way. Just leaving the west coast of Turkey and my first look at the Greek Isles...
Look at the water color and moutnains....really slick.
Looking good on alignment...but I'm sure I'll do something wrong...Air France taxiing out for takeoff. Flying Notes: Landing Score: 67.74 Flight Score: 87.31
Landing included the following problems: - Poor glideslope on ILS approach - you can do better.
- Too hard - may have damaged your landing gear.
- Glideslope lost before you touched down - not your best effort.
Flight included the following problems: - Exceeding flap speeds - your flaps may be damaged: have them checked.
- Throttle and brakes during taxi - bad for many systems.
- Rapid descent - dangerous and uncomfortable.
- Poorly trimmed aircraft - trimmers are there to help: use them.
Guess I was just a little to giddy to be in Greece, and forgot how to fly and land?
