SL,

I was wondering about something and considering our "big trip" is coming up, I want to get this figured out before I start.  I loaded a small flight plan from 2 cities, flew the route, landed and had one of my best scores, yet I didn't have the hyperlinks to add my landing score.  Did I do something wrong or miss something that needed to be done up front?

Hey Joe:

Well... I am not saying any of these apply in your case - just looking for answers...

...in general, you won't be able to submit a score in the following circumstances:

1. You are using an unregistered version. (User is using free demo or has not typed in registration data yet).

2. Flying a plane without a corresponding FSR file - only planes in The Hangar (see this site) can submit scores.

3. A "new flight" started before the user submitted scores for the last flight. This clears any chance to submit the score of the last flight.

4. Disconnection from FS occurs before a score is submitted.  Could be due to changing planes or airports etc. (See manual).

Any of this help...?

I have the full blown version...check

2. Flying a plane without a corresponding FSR file - only planes in The Hangar (see this site) can submit scores.

I was using the standard Baron which I logged scores before...check

3. A "new flight" started before the user submitted scores for the last flight. This clears any chance to submit the score of the last flight.

Humm...this might be the culprit...although I'm not sure what this one means.  So if you have a crappy landing, don't submit a score, then go directly to a flight with a flight plan you can't log a score?  Not sure if I just understood what I typed...    I'll have to go back and check tonight on this one...

4. Disconnection from FS occurs before a score is submitted.  Could be due to changing planes or airports etc. (See manual).

I'm sure I "bunged" something up....I'll check again.  Got late in the evening and I was getting tired.

Hi Joe.

Whenever I cannot submit a score it´s always due to one of these of SL´s points.

3. A "new flight" started before the user submitted scores for the last flight. This clears any chance to submit the score of the last flight.

4. Disconnection from FS occurs before a score is submitted. [w00t] Could be due to changing planes or airports etc. (See manual).

When landed, Alt-tab out and see your score, then submit at once. I have also missed good scores on that behalf..

Yep, I'll have to give it another go after I get done chasing the little white golf ball tonight.

Glad I'm not hitting in winds like the Open this weekend...sheez.  How can you have any fun in the crap?

Would the real doof head please stand up?

I, evidently while screwing around, changed the radial button from end flight after landing/taxi to complete shutdown.  Doh!

All is working of course, and I was able to post my 1st 737-800 score on first try.  A landing score of 69.06 and flight score of 86.42.  A US marshall had to come into the cockpit and remove Mr. Smith for what is being called a "minor disturbance".

Gearing up for World Wide Tour!

Well Joe, we all make mistakes. It´s just good to hear that all is working well, and that you post on airliners. I gotta get some practice done myself. Haven´t flown an inch for days now. But I will get ready, don´t worry.

How about getting yourself an avatar? So we can see that it´s you!

Here is one you can steal

Are you really sure you want to see an ugly face like mine?   Let me see what I can find that won't be too embarrasing....So are we wanting pictures of us or just funny things?

By the way, the old picture you used to have...is that really you, because you look an awful like Kiefer Sutherland of the show 24?  I know you don't look like the orange man now?

So, let me get this straight.  If we decide to go to a secondary airport on the WWT, and it may not have any ILS, then we will have to make a non-ILS file correct?  I've been on ATC controlled flights that will make you come into the Non-ILS runways, so I guess we would have to cover all bases just in case?

An ugly face, a golfer or anything you prefer. Just something to identify your posts. I will go back to my pic. and yes it is really me, and I don´t look like Kiefer at all, not in real life anyway.

And Yes. You have to make a NON ILS file for every runway you land in if it has no ILS. You can just make it when you plan that one flight. You have to make a flightplan anyway, so just find out where you want to land, and make the appropriate file for it. It is very easy. Just see the manual.

which timezone are you living in? I´m in +1, plus daylight savings time.

I thought, maybe if we can make the timezones click, we could do a leg or two, along the route, as multiplayer! Would be cool to look out the window, and see your plane in the rear view mirror.

And did you see that you got promoted to Captain also? Congrats buddy.

I actually asked a couple people at work if you looked like a "younger" Kiefer and they all said you looked real similar...so you got that going for you!

There you go again with the manual thing....rtfm!!!

I'm in the US Central Time zone which I believe we are -5 during daylight savings here in the states.  So you must be about 6 hours ahead of me?

I've never done it before, but I'm sure "we - you" can help me get it going.  Probably are best shot would be over a weekend to try it...

And did you see that you got promoted to Captain also? Congrats buddy.

Cool Breeze!

I've been wondering if we are the only one's looking at our WWT, because I see a large number of "looks" but not a lot of takers yet...Oh well.

Cheers,

Joe
