If you downloaded from us - just download again and use the same codes as we gave you when you made your purchase.

Good luck and thanks for keeping in touch with us.

Dear SquadronLeader,

Based on the suggested reason for FlyingSchool not working (several users and a problematic FSX), I took the following steps:

- my pc was sent to the technician, formated and fully reinstalled with windows XP;

- Flying Simulator was installed from its original cd and key code inserted and accepted;

- FSUP-C4 was downloaded and installed;

- FlyingSchool was installed again and key codes inserted and accepted.

After all this, FSX was running perfectly

Then I followed the steps as per your instructions, I mean:

- started FSX;

- issued a flight planner and put the airplane on the ground ready to start a flight;

- with FSX running, I opened Flying School and the starting label showed with lines covering the titles and the bloody label "RUNTIME ERROR '6' OVERFLOW" over it

This means that after all this work, trouble and money spent with the technician formating and reinstalling, I still cannot run this software!!!!!

NOTE: THERE IS NOW ONLY ONE USER (ME) WITH ADMINISTRATOR POWER

Would you please be so kind to tell me what should I do now?

Looking forward to your news.

Best regards

Rui Andrade

ANOTHER INFORMATION:

After downloading the correction file, the "new" FlyingSchool doesn't show any pilot, any instructor, any voice, any sound, any nothing! Frustrating, I must say

What are your Windows country-specific locale settings set to (Control Panel)?

German users have the issue with the current version that the runway data is not processed correctly - from your names I could wager a guess that your locale settings might be Spanish (or Portuguese?).

Try setting your Windows locale (country-specific) settings about date and number formats etc. to English-US (can be done independently from Windows language settings), start FSFS and try again. Maybe it's the same basic issue leading to FSFS coughing at a different time with your specific locale settings?!

Hi,

Thanks to your advise and help, it seems I got FlyingSchool and FSX working properly.

I changed the settings for English US (I am in Portugal) and it seems to have solved the problem yet, it was not quite straight: - I had to remove the last version of FlyingSchool and reinstall the original. Then, it started to work although, at the begining, anytime I went back to FSX, after conneting FlyingSchool, the only thing I could get was the sound of FSX under a blackboard. After some trials, I still don't understand why, it started running.

I would appreciate another small help from you, as I couldn't find yet how to save the settings for Pilot, Instructor's voice, etc. Could you help.

Thks and regds

Rui

Great to hear you are up and flying with us.

The settings you mention are saved at the pilots screen.

You may need to specify a new pilot at that screen if none is currently specified.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hello,

Things seem to be running well now, thanks.

I still have to study a bit more the manual to get all the benefits from using your program. Anyway I feel happy now to be able to use it yet sometimes, I still find it difficult to come back to FSX after opening FlyingSchool. Most of the times, when I try to get back to FSX, I only get a blackboard and the sounds under it. I still didn't get used to the process of recovering the FSX image after opening and connecting FlyingSchool. Would you be so kind to instruct me about the steps I should follow?

Many thanks and regards

Rui

Hi - glad you are having fun.

The simplest way to run it is like this:

- Quit all programs

- Launch FSX

- Get into the cockpit of a plane

- Make sure that FSX is running in a window and not full screen. You can toggle this status back and forth using  ALT  ENTER

- Leave FSX running and return to the Windows desktop (for example by clicking on your Windows task bar at the center bottom of the screen)

- Launch FSFlyingSchool

- Set any options you desire in FSFS

- Press CONNECT in FSFlyingSchool

- Leave FSFlyingSchool running and press ALT TAB to return back to FSX

- In FSX press  P  to un-pause if it is paused

- Go flying with FSFlyingSchool!

 That's it!
