Hi,

I am back ;-)

I have tried several flights without tuning into ATC, still with limited success. So far I have not logged a single scoring flight!

Without ATC it seems that FSFS 2010 stays connected longer, but upon manually "pushing" the flight mode into "Landing" FSFS 2010 crashes. Until then everything works as expected, the instructor confirms the Runway and that we are on a Visual approach, keeps telling me to line up with the runway etc.

But so far FSFS 2010 crashes to desktop with the error message previously mentioned.

Will try v3.3 and see if it changes the situation...

Hi again!

1. Does FSFS crash at the precise moment that you advance to landing mode by pressing Ctl Shft Z...?

2. Have you tried the alternate Ctl Shft 1...?

3. Is Traffic X running?

4. Does Traffic X have any special keys?

5. Can Traffic X be disabled for testing?

6. What is the traffic density slider at both for light and heavy aircraft?

Hello,

well the good news is: I scored two landings after un-installing Traffic X for test purposes, but in the meantime on FSFS2010 v3.3.

On the other hand though I did experience another crash-to-desktop with after completing the first flight succesfully, receiving a score and disconnecting to load a new flight plan.

To respond to the questions:

1. Does FSFS crash at the precise moment that you advance to landing mode by pressing Ctl Shft Z...? --> No, sometimes during the Landing but sometimes also only around touchdown... difficult to tell the exact moment, because you only realize a disconnection if you dont hear the instructor for a while. FSX continues to run without a glitch.

2. Have you tried the alternate Ctl Shft 1...? --> yes, works fine.

3. Is Traffic X running? not that I am aware of. Traffic X generates new Airport files and traffic files for AI. I dont think it has a service running, but I could be wrong here.

4. Does Traffic X have any special keys? No.

5. Can Traffic X be disabled for testing? Not sure, how to temporarily disable it. But the uninstall left me without any AI traffic, and a few successful runs with FSFS2010.

6. What is the traffic density slider at both for light and heavy aircraft? 40% each.

This is most unusual - I cannot recall reports of serious issues with Traffic X and as you report, the problem still exists even without it.

Hi,

I keep using FSFS 2010 now successfully by switching AI (Airlines and GA) traffic to 0% before I launch FSFS 2010 and do not communicate with ATC.

In this way I can use it successfully...
