Ken:

The FSUIPC installation log suggests a problem occurred during its installation.

I would like you to install it again.

Please exit all FSX or FSFS programs and then delete the file FSUIPC4.DLL from the FSX modules folder on you PC which is usually here:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules

Next, run the FSUIPC4 installation program which you will have run before.

Finally start up FSX, get into a cockpit and only then launch FSFS and try to connect.

If it all works, great.

If not, please, once more send us...

FSUIPC4.log

and

FSUIPC4 Install.log

from your FSX modules folder - which is usually something like:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules

For privacy - send the files to:

Hi again.  I proceded with you suggestion.  I tried doing it twice but the FSFS still won't connect to FSX.  Through all the procedures we have done, I cannot understand where the problem lies.  I'll resend the info requested.  Thanks for your patience and willingness to get me through this.  Ken

Hi.  Have the files arrived and if so, have you been able to look at them?  Also, I was wondering if maybe I should start over.  I need to know if I delete the FSUIPC from the FSX module folder, will that completely delete the FSUIPC and then I can re-install.  Should I re-download FSFS as well - I again appreciate your help and look forward to being able to use the FSFS.  Thanks.

I did a new download of the FSUIPC and watched the video about installation a few times.  It said in the video that FSX is supposed to come up with a message to accept the software.  However, I'm not receiving that message so the FSFS cannot communicate with FSX.  I have no idea as to what is blocking this. Everything else seems to be running correctly.

Ken - not sure what happened in the selection of the files you sent on the 2nd occasion.

FSUIPC could not have been installed at the time you sent the files IF these are all the files in the modules folder. FSUIPC.DLL is not present and that has to be there after a successful installation.

I can only imagine there was some misunderstanding.

Can you email us all the files in your modules folder again?

As to your question - in order to disable FSUIPC it is only necessary to delete FSUIPC.DLL in the modules folder. After which, to reinstall, one just runs the FSUIPC install program.
It is not necessary to download FSUIPC again.

The dialog about trusting or allowing the software to interact with FSX might I guess not be displayed if Windows has somehow remembered to trust FSUIPC.

Please email the files and we will continue to investigate step by step.
