Also - what happens if you slow down? Can you determine a point (an IAS) at which the instructor stops yelling?

It generally happens quite a few minutes after I've entered 'Cruise mode'.
The last 3 (fairly short) flights the instructor hasn't told me to slow down. What I've done differently is set a Flight Plan and imported it into FsFlyingSchool.
Going for a longer flight this time with a little more speed.

I got down to about 175 knots previously in the Vampire in level flight and he was still yelling.

Any wind when it happened? Well if you did less than 200 KIAS winds would not be a problem, but I get the call sometimes when I´m at like 35.000 feet, and flying 270 KIAS, and it´s always major wind that causes it.

I've just flown a longer trip across country. I set and imported a flight plan. I had no problems until the program thought I was trying to land. This is because I forget to set Nav1 to my first waypoint and flew over an airfield.
But when I used Shift-control X to bring it back to 'cruise mode' this is when I got reminders again that I was "travelling too fast - slow down!" Before that everything was okay. I reached well over 300kts with no problem.
I'm going to refly a little later and this time set my nav1 correctly and see what happens.
Ps. There was no-to-very light wind in my test. I flew in calm conditions.

Next time it happens, slow down until he stops telling you. I need to know at what speed it stops. Not sure about what you mentioned about Nav1, unless this is a procedure you are following which is unrelated to FSFS. Just trying to help - the only way FSFS will think you are about to land is either because you pressed the key to advance the flight mode to 'landing', or, you began a steady descent and you have automatic detection of landings turned on. You can turn this off - all explained in the manual and discussed a lot right here on the forum.

Sorry I'm late in replying - flew last thing late last night, but I was too tired to post.
Yes, Squadron Leader you've nailed it on the head!! I must have begun a momentary steady decent. I thought I'd read enough of the manual to get me started - obviously not.
I love this program - I think its brilliant!
Thanks very much for everyone's help.

Say Rocket3 - can I tempt you into sharing your views and literary skills with the rest of the world by way of a 'review' of a sentence or two on the FSPilotShop.com web site? If you wish to, please be sure to review the download version of FSFlyingSchool - they are also selling the boxed version, but we want our reviews to go to the download version. The programs are both exactly the same, but we have 20(??) reviews stacked up for the download version and that is the one we want to build up reviews for. You should be able to review it by pressing the "Write Review" button at the bottom of this page... http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_reviews.php?products_id=1350&page=1 Many thanks

No problem at all!
I will do that when I get home this evening. Been extremely busy the last few days so I haven't done much flying. I've heard the 'Slow down -you're flying too fast' instruction only once since my earlier posts. I will continue to monitor it to give you feedback regarding what speed it stops at and any log book entries etc.
Using FsflyingSchool has highlighted my rusty flying skills. I did my first solo flight a couple of years ago but stopped FS lessons when I got to the buggy bits. I realise now that I'll have to do a 'refresher course' to get my flying up to a certain standard to enable me to benefit fully from your fine program.
