Hello all,
My FSFlyingschool works properly with X-Plane 10 (Windows 10) until I try to load a flightplan. I can add the flightplan directory, then choose the plan and the School crashes immediately.
I can see in Windows EventLog that there was a problem with KERNELBASE.DLL.
Any idea?
FSX version works without any issue.
Many thanks, Jiri.

Hi Unyax:
Please do the following:
- Send us a screen shot of the flight plan screen immediately before you click when this occurs.
- Send us a screen shot of any error displayed when this occurs.
- Send the flight plan file that you are trying to load.
- Try a different flight plan file with different departure and destination airports.
If you prefer you can send this to:

Hi Unyax:
Thanks for the data.
Please quit all programs and do the following if you have not already done it and then try FSFlyingSchool again. You must do it exactly as described - no other method.
As described in the manual and in the installation information...
IMPORTANT! FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'.
Can you also please do the following:
- Try a different flight plan file with different departure and destination airports.
Or better... can you try perhaps 3 plans - all with departure and destination airports which are major airports and in 3 different countries - none of which are the same as those in the file you sent.
I am trying to establish if the problem is with the data for a specific airport.

Hi Jeff,
I did everything according to your recommendation. Unfortunately the behavior is still the same.
In fact I don't think the FSFlyingSchool causes the problem - I suspect my Windows 10.
I put my post here to be sure that this is not a common issue with well known solution. But I definitely don't want you to waste time investigating my OS problems, especially when I cannot simply re-install my Windows for test. Currently I am fully sattisfied by flying without a flightplan and I still have working FSX version, if neeed.
Many thanks,
Unyax.

Hi Unyax:
OK - thanks for the update.
As you say - perhaps there is something (slightly) wrong with Windows on the PC in question.
Have a great weekend of flights!
NOTE: For other readers, I need to make clear that FSFlyingSchool runs fine with Windows 10 and indeed with all versions of Windows around since FSFlyingSchool's first version back in 2006.

Hi MM:
Firstly - please make sure you have done this - exactly as described:
"IMPORTANT! FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'."
If you still have problems then...
...please send to:
support@FSFlyingSchool.com
- Send one of the flight plan files that you are trying to load which cause this error.
- Try a different flight plan file with different departure and destination airports. (I need to know that BOTH the airports are different to the file you have errors with).
Let me know if it works or causes an error and send me the file.

Mail just sent with 3 examples of flight plans that did not work.
KSEA to CYYJ
LFPG to LFQQ
LFBD to LFBO
These plans have been generated by Online Flifht Planner with a X-Plane 11 fms format.
At this time I never succeded to load any flight plan

Hi MM:
As you know we are continuing this case via email - so please see your email for communications.
I will post here with the results of the investigation when the case is closed.
TO ALL READERS: We are looking at the case and have so far found that all 3 flight plans which crash on MM's PC load fine on our PCs, so the issue is that MM's PC is in some way unique and this is what causes the error. We need to determine what that unique issue is...
