| Downloaded and installed FS Instant Approach v1.4.1, Installed FSUIPC v 4.81 successfully per install log (not registered). Started FSX and prepared for free flight, set airplane for takeoff, opened FSIA but was notified that FSIA cannot find FSX (Flashing notice at bottom of FSIA screen).

Hi
Does FSUIPC appear on the add-ons menu of FSX when in the cockpit?
Please try running both programs by launching with a right click and selecting "run as administrator" and let me know what occurs.

I have no "Add on" menu in my FSX. Only FSUI.dll appears in my FSX files. Back in 2009 I had FS 2004 wi5th FSUIPC that never worked. Now when I start FSX I get a failure to connect with FSUIPC for FS2004. Could this be part of the problem?

If there is no FSUIPC on the Add-ons menu in FSX, or simply no Add-ons menu in FSX, when you are in a plane, then FSUIPC 4 is not installed correctly - it will never work. The FSUI.DLL file is unrelated to this case. I recommend that you quit all programs and run the FSUIPC 4 installation again and then launch FSX and see if there is an FSUIPC item on the Add-ons menu in FSX when you are in a plane.

Reinstalled FSUIPC4 and still have no "Add on" menu in FSX, while in the airplane. FSUIPC4 Install Log indicates the installation was successful. FSUIPC4 appears in FSX Modules OK.

Hi -
This is very odd. 
Could you send us a screen shot of the screen when you are in a plane - showing FSX and also FSIA.
Please make sure the picture is full size so we can read the text!
To send us a screen shot, press the Print Scrn (print screen) button on your PC keyboard to capture the entire screen and then PASTE that information into an email to
support@fsinventions.com
To PASTE the screen capture, simply press Ctrl V while typing in the body of an email to us. The email will need to be in HTML format (not plain text).
If you have any problems doing this - you can always just take a picture of the screen with a digital camera and send us that picture. As long as the picture is clear we can use that!
