I've done everything, according to my searches, and I'm unable to have it connect.
I've registered, and now it's starting to show "Trial Copy" instead of the registered version of Flight trainer.

Hi -

Thank you for your interest in our products.

The fastest way to solve this is of you could send us a screen shot of FSFS while it is running with X-Plane.

To send us a screen shot, press the Print Scrn (print screen) button on your PC keyboard to capture the entire screen and then PASTE that information into
an email to support@fsflyingschool.com

To PASTE the screen capture, simply press Ctrl V while typing in the body of an email to us. The email will need to be in HTML format (not plain text).

Please make sure that picture is large enough for us to be able to read the text!

If you have any problems doing this - you can always just take a picture of the screen with a digital camera and send us that picture. As long as the picture is clear we can use that!

Hi -

A technical fault with our mail server failed to deliver these to me - but we have found them thanks to your recent forum post.

The emails do not have screen shots attached (I don't know why) but from the text I think I can see what the issue is.

You are running X-Plane but our sales records show that you purchased FSFlyingSchool for FSX.

Do you also run FSX - do you want to keep that version - or do you only run X-Plane?

If you only want the X-Plane version - we can sort that out for you.

Please let us know what you would like to do.

Sorry for the missing attachments, but since upgrading to Win 7 I've been forced out of my regular email program.
MS flight sim X will not install in Windows 64 bit so I purchased X-Plane.
The school that is X-Plane compatible is the one I need. Apparently I was seeing so many X's that I purchased the wrong one.

Well spotted Ole!

What are the problems Rolex?

So many of us out here are using FSX with just that set up - all working fine...

First of all, should I totally remove the FS Pro that was previously registered?
The new reg number can not be added since that entry is grayed out, and the new add on reg number tells me it's invalid.
This is the primary program I want the flying school for. I'm not interested in using it for Microsoft sims.

Once I have it working in X-Plane I'll work on MS FSX. I've had every flight simulator since FS 98, but this install goes the entire distance and then gives me the message that it can't find a file in cabs. Every thing I've found so far tells me it's almost impossible to run FSX from MS in 64 bit Win 7.

Rolex

FSFlyingSchool C172 edition for X-Plane is a completely stand-alone program, that has nothing to do with FSFlyingSchool Pro.

So what you need to do is to install it into another directory than -pro. If you don´t want to use FSFS Pro (for FSX) then its easiest to uninstall it, and then you can install FSFS for X-Plane.

As for installing FSX onto a Win7 64 bit system, then I have never ever heard any problems in that regard. I talk to a LOT of flight simmers and a huge majority of those have FSX installed on Win7 64 bit systems.

My suggestions are to install it in another directory than the default one. The default dir can cause problems according to a lot of people (I have never experienced problems with it, but still I now have my install dir set to C:\\flightsim\FSX)

Then be SURE to install with admin rights - very important in Win7.

If you have a .cab file fault, then are you sure your DVD is unscratched and clean? You can try to copy it onto your hard disk and install from there.

Then you should be alright.
