In Mar 2001 the question was asked if FS Instant Approach Talk was going to be developed for X-Plane. In Apr 2013 I asked the question again (see post above) and the reply was yes soon (ish).

7 months later and still nothing although I see that Prepar3D got the ApproachPlus pack

It looks to me that there is going to be no further development for X-Plane

Please tell me I'm wrong

Thanks
Rick

Hi:

I think that perhaps you mean March 2012?

FSFS PRO 2013 for P3D now has all of the approach features that FSFS PRO 2013 for FSX has.

We are certainly continuing to develop our X-Plane products (2 new products since March 2012) but for technical reasons we have not yet been able to add our approach features to FSFS for X-Plane yet, nor to use the same in a separate new X-Plane 'approaches' product.

We certainly like happy customers and we like sales and so we will release approach features for X-Plane as soon as it is ready!

Hi,
I downloaded the Demo version FSX 2014 and I try to use "On Approach" using the demo airport KORD but i get an error:
AUTO-Disconnection due to:
Sudden change in altitude OR
Sudden change in ground speed OR
Slewing mode engaged OR
Sudden change in latitude OR
Sudden change in longitude

Thank you
Alex

Hi Alex:

Thanks for looking at the demo.

As you can imagine, the message shows a disconnection, not an error - this is when FSFS decides it cannot continue as the situation has changed so markedly that the instructor cannot reasonably comment on what is happening. At that point it deliberately ends the session.

Do you recall doing any of the things mentioned in the list yourself - that is "by hand" as it were?

What was happening at the instant the disconnection occurred?

Which version of FS are you using?

Hi,
Thanks for fast answer.
I have fsx with accelerator installed.
I run fsx, set current location to KORD ARP, Plane: Cessna C208B, click fly (to be in the cockpit).
I start FSFS , go to fly plan page , find the airport (start 8 miles, altitude 5000), click connect => it connect, fsx show that it load scenery and then : the Plane is in the same position and FSFS disconnect with mentioned messages.
I have repeated tho above scenario many times.
That's all I do, in the order I stated them.

Thanks
Alex.

Hi Alex:

What version of FSUIPC is shown at the Settings screen of our product?

To save time before my next reply - if it is not the latest version of FSUIPC (4.927a or higher) - please download and install it. It is of course free.
