Hi tbaac:

Yes - we are very interested in the Comanche too - a beautiful aircraft to be sure.

We hope to have some good news for Comanche fans soon!

Thanks for the fast reply Squadron Leader. That's good to hear.

While you're talking to A2A, any chance of Accusim Spitfire extras?
The instructor might like to mention that your engine was about to catch fire for example.
(Or to suggest proactive actions to avoid this)

Obviously the plane doesn't have 2 seats but still, it would be nice.

Hi tbaac:

Spitfire, eh?

A lovely aircraft indeed, but sadly we don't normally get involved with combat aircraft as they are not something FSFlyingSchool folks have asked for to a great extent. And I mean over the past 9 years.

We've also polled folks about Mr Smith getting into 'combat flight' training and the results from our subscribers was a resounding... "Not interested - no thanks".

This makes things tricky as you can be sure that unless we add logic to at least tolerate 'combat flight' to Mr Smith's 'brain' while the pilot was tearing up the skies in a Spitfire, we'd be pilloried on the web along the lines of: "LOL - flight School FS complains when i fly my spit fire inverted - LOL DUH LOL"

As you can imagine, we have to choose planes for Detail Packs very carefully, especially when they require the pilot to own 3 separate things before they even buy the pack, those being: the simulator, FSFlyingSchool AND the aircraft.

Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming - they are much appreciated.

Hi:

I recently purchase the A2A Comanche and then saw your product. How far off is the addition of the Comanche? Thanks.

Hi 69yanks:

Thanks for getting in touch.

[EDIT - Nov 15 2017 - Comanche Detail Pack is now built into FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for FSX/FSX-SE/FS2004 and for FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for P3Dv4]

[EDIT - Nov 15 2017 - For reference, the rest of this post has been retained...]

We'd certainly like to add a detail pack for the Comanche to FSFlyingSchool, but at present have no delivery date for this. When we have a date, it will be announced here of course and in our mailers.

As with any powered airplane, you can of course fly with the Comanche with FSFlyingSchool - the only difference is that you would not get the 'detailed' treatment that is given to the planes that have detail packs.

Regardless - the instructor would still be following what you were doing - analyzing and commenting on over 70 areas of your airmanship.

But... I would strongly advise you to try out the aircraft first with the DEMO version of FSFS to see how you like it. Of course the best part is that it can all be tried out for free using our free demos which come with a complete set of manuals.

And you can use the demo to evaluate your experience with FSFlyingSchool for as long as you like.

As we have seen in the past, there are times when add-on airplanes have core differences in the way they are modeled that can cause issues with FSFS, such as (for example) the instructor asking the pilot to raise flaps that are not there, because the internal (non-visible) modelling indicates flaps, even though there are really none present.

Even issues like this can mostly be worked around by changing some values or tweaking some of the files.

So... please be sure to try the demo first if you re interested, and let us know if you encounter any issues.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Same here.
We're using x-plane 11 in a University and anything to let students fly around in their free time with a bit more support and guidance is welcome. We'd want at least 12 licences.
