Bolded Landing Spot figures were accompanied with an obligitory "Ya landed too hard" from Smitty.  Bolded fuel amounts indicate top offs.

Both Smitty's late rotation call on takeoff and his insistance that all red PAPI lights at < 200 ft AGL was still well above the glideslope at Bankstown contributed to a modest start to the 2009 S&S Tour.

Despite Team Fenric's dejection, all voted to proceed.  The race is on....

Team Fenric is proud to announce that despite a lack of landing spot distances - and a rough approach into that patch of grass between the trees and water - our first landing score of 80 will not only unlock a newfound ability to do circuits, but it entitles all visitors to this thread for the next 24 hours to free drinks, providing of course that visitors can find something with which they can drink freely.

Bang bang bangbangbang.  The rapid knocks woke Team Fenric at 0530 local time.  Smitty's at the door.  No shower, no shave, and cheap perfume tell us all we need to know.  "We need to leave now," the words came rushing out.  "Met a woman at a club…  Now he's looking for me…  We need to get a hundred miles away from here.  NOW." We grabbed our bags and headed for the field.

Once airborne, it was a different man in the right seat.  Picky, demanding, need I say more?

Maybe it was the rush to get out of there, maybe it was the lack of sleep, but we wound up in Port Macquarie full of demerits, hungry and in need of a mechanic to take a look at our undercarriage; it's taken quite a beating. We wonder about Smitty's.

Looks like we may be here a few days - heard some locals mention a fete - "Beer Night at The Corner" - on Wednesday.  We only hope that Smitty's amour/pursuer doesn't pass this way.

Hi Fenric,

55ft from the spot AND with a tail wind. Pretty good. The last time I accidently landed with a tail wind I just kept on floating past the spot

Biggs,

That's 55ft laterally from the spot.  If you look at that landing score it shouldn't surprise you that I likely cratered a foot or two into the surface.

I may request a new custom WAV for the instructors - "$#!+ you almost broke my tailbone when you slammed into the runway."

Best,

Ah dear boy, lateral is not so good but you've got some nice consistant landing spot scores You could be in the running for the spot prize whatever that is

Biggs,

A spot of tea would do just super, ta!

All,

Please note that I've corrected the dates on legs 7-10 to reflect the proper in-country date.

It's a blustery morning in good old New South Wales.  Team Fenric likes to fly with updated real-time weather, so we thought to brave what looked like to be stiff crosswinds to gain some bonus points.  Better luck next time, I suppose... although there was a wild wind shift on the short leg from Casino into Lismore that Team Fenric was able to turn into a non-absymal 69 landing points.

Team Fenric is grounded pending the arrival of the Royal Runway Patching And Undercarriage Bolstering Service and some lighter winds.

No divots today for Team Fenric, as we hopped over to Brisbane proper.

Smitty continues to calculate ''his'' glideslopes through stands of trees and upper story bedrooms at the ends of runways which causes the pilot-in-command no end of grief.  But what the hey....

Still, I'd like to know the market value of the 2-story houses that aren't more than 400 ft from the business end of 10L at Archerfield....
