I've got the same problem as onetimeonly. The first flight logged, as it should. I got a full and traditional entry in the logbook. Since then, nothing I do will result in any logbook entries. I only get an analysis of the landing and nothing more. I've tried FS generic "canned flights", flying lessons, and created flights both IFR and VFR. I've flown with the sound both enabled and disabled. I've tried a variety of different aircraft. At this time I agree with onetimeonly's assessment of this product. Forty bucks is too high a price to pay to listen to "your below the glideslope, let's intersect the glideslope" 10 times on an approach, I bought the product for the analysis, not the chatter. Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz, 1 GB Ram, XP SP2, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, FS 9. FS Flying School pilot is saved as .plt

We're always happy to help solve a problem - it appears flights are not being logged on the PC in question.

In a very small number of the many thousands of successful installations of FSFS, users have reported this issue - I am sure we can help to get it solved.

Can you tell us the following:

1. Full path to the verison of FS you are using.

2. Full path to the verison of FSFS you are using.

3. Name of the pilot (see FSFS Pilot screen) you are flying with.

Can you also email to

info@fsflyingschool.com

the entire contents of FSFlyingSchool's PilotRoster folder. This would, by default, be at:

C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\PilotRoster

We need the contents of the folder, but not of any subfolders within it.

Armed with these facts and data we should be able to help sort this out.

This is a problem if you change permissions with VISTA. It forgets that you've got a pilot set up for some reason. In VISTA, once you've got it set up, don't change it.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9, C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool. jim.plt logged the first flight, jimbrady.plt only gives a landing analysis and no logbook entries. Since my last post in uninstalled the entire program and reinstalled, that didn't solve the problem. E-mailing the roster folder.

We have now received the data.

From this I can see that we will need your

settings.ini

file.

This is, by default:

C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\settings.ini

Could you send that to the same email address so we can examine it?

Good news - I think we're almost there.

The configuation is set so that the flight is evaluated and the log book updated when the parking brake is on and all engines are off.

Can you fly a flight (can be as short as a little over 30 seconds in the air) and make sure that after it is over you set the parking brake and cut fuel to all engines, be they prop or jet.

In some aircraft, cutting off the fuel is difficult to achieve using the mouse with the on-screen aircraft controls, such as fuel mixture or jet fuel cut off, and so you may need to use Flight Simulator’s standard Ctrl+Shift+F1 to cut off the engine(s).

Let me know how you get on.

I chose that setting because I end all of my flights the same way... parked with the brake on, mixture controls to idle cutoff, and all swithches off. I did a short flight this morning and folowed the normal routine of parking and shutting down before I alt/tabbed to FSFS... still no joy. All I got was an analysis of the landing (evaluated a GPS Approach as a visual but that's another issue) and no logbook entries. When I disconnected from FS and tried to look at the logbook for jimbrady.plt I got a message "this pilot has no logbook entries."
