Dear Squadron Leader

I just purchased FsFlyingSchool for P3Dv4, and it work fine except it cannot generate the runway.
When I launch the process, I got this message :

The MakeRunway.exe is proprely installed in the directory C:\Prepar3D
The scenery.cfg is in the directory C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

Thanks for you help.
Bruno

Hi Bruno:

I am sure we can solve this for you - the Settings Screen of FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for P3Dv4 has to contain the full path to the folder containing the Prepar3D program itself.

What does the

'P3D folder'

field at the Settings Screen of FSFlyingSchool PRO 2017 for P3Dv4 contain?

For reference - by default this would be:

C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\

Hi:

This is puzzling.

- Do you have add-on scenery?

- Was the value in the field "C:\Prepar3D" when the runway generation process was run?

- Have you performed all these steps (below) as indicated by the program requirements?

"IMPORTANT! FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'."

Hi Squadron leader,

Addons :I have the complete photorealistic France by FranceVFR with a lot of airports. "Default Terrain" is number 301.
Before lauching "Generate Runway" I uncrossed all (except the basic P3D) and the result is the same.
- FsFlyingSchool is install on C:\Program Files (x86)\Flight Simulateur\FSFlyingSchoolP3D
- P3D native is install on C:\Prepar3D with nothing more except AGX, a common Autogen for FranceFVR and others editors.
- All additional addons are installed on a dedicated SSD F:\Addons Scenery, F:\SimObjects, F:\Effects...etc... and the Scenery.cfg and others .cfg are pointing to these locations.
- I used FsFlyingSchool for 2014 version, so yes it is in administrator mode.

Sorry and thank for you time and help.
Bruno

Hi:

We've been running some tests - please try this...

>> "The MakeRunway.exe is proprely installed in the directory C:\Prepar3D"

1. I believe you are referring to "MakeRwys.exe"?

2. If so, please run it by itself and let me know what occurs.

What I did was simply copied the new MakeRunways_482 to both the P3D v4 and the FSFlyingSchool install folders. It worked like a charm, but prior to it's completion I received the following error;
FSFSRunwayGen
Error 6 - Overflow
Location: ProcessCoOrd
Line: 20
4217710837760.0

Does anyone know if this error will cause me any issues, or can I just ignore it?

At present not sure what to do as I can't add screenshot to this post,

Any help appreciated.

Hi John:

We will certainly need to look at screenshots so to save you time, please send shots showing the problems you have encountered to

support@FSFlyingSchool.com

This helps enormously as we can "see what you can see" and this will often tell us what the problem is without the need for any further investigation.

Please make sure the screen shot clearly shows the data you have entered and the problem message.

To send us a screen shot, press the Print Scrn (print screen) button on your PC keyboard to capture the entire screen and then PASTE that information into an email to us.

To PASTE the screen capture, simply press Ctrl V while typing in the body of an email to us. The email will need to be in HTML format (not plain text).

Please send the email containing the screen shot which you send to us, to yourself as well, so that you can see if the screen shot is correctly shown in the email and that it is readable and clearly shows the problem you are experiencing.

If you have any problems doing this - you can always just take a picture of the screen with a digital camera and send us that picture. As long as the picture is clear we can use that!
