Hi Concorde:

Great pictures!

As to the flaps - if Mr Smith and friends think it has flaps it is because FSX is telling him it has flaps, which is a shame.

You can fly any powered plane with FSFS of course, so you can enter your own data at the aircraft screen of FSFS and save it as user data. This is all described in the manual. This will, I hope, solve the flaps problem.

If you have time, could you send the plane's aircraft.cfg file (located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes folder) to

support@fsflyingschool.com

as we would like to see what it is that is giving the impression of flaps to FSFS.

Hi Concorde:

Ah ha!

My suspicions are confirmed!

The aircraft.cfg file does indeed indicate to FSX that Concorde has flaps.

This is not the first time this issue has come to our attention - we are working up a solution so that the pilot can indicate to FSFS something like: "No! No! The plane does not have flaps! Do not believe what FSX is telling you!".

The publisher of the aircraft has reasons for such data no doubt and I am certainly NOT questioning their data.

Hi SL,

that is strange for Concorde X to put that in the data, I have not had time to have a good look at the cfg file, I may try to change the bit about flaps and see how that goes, will let you know if it works, but I do like your idea about Mr Smith and crew shouting out no no etc. lol

another point, I tried to run Concorde X in P3D and the aircraft was floating in air while on the tarmac, nothing I did would bring the gear down.

Hi Concorde:

I know what you mean about floating above the ground when parked! I have seen this many times in FSX too. Note to everyone else - this is nothing to do with FSFlyingSchool!

I am not sure if the plane you refer to was built for P3D use, but regardless there are several points with P3D of course...

- A lot of FSX planes appear to work fine in P3D

- FSX planes need not necessarily work with P3D

- FSX planes might not be licensed to work with anything except FSX

P3D is an excellent system and we look forward to each new release. We've now got our FSX and P3D versions of FSFlyingSchool PRO both at the same level of features and content and we anticipate an exciting future with P3D, while continuing our full support for FSX of course. Heck, most of our features work with FS2004!

Hi SL,

My Concorde X problem has nothing to do with FSFS its not built for P3d (the Concorde X I mean)

I removed all flaps in Concorde X config file and FSFS did not mention flaps until landing, just telling me to lower flaps, so my experiments with P3D and Concorde X are over for now, as you say it may not be built for P3D.

I always thought there were no flaps on Concorde but there are mini flaps on the spoilers, will have to read the manual some more.

I am not sure at this time if I will continue with P3D there is a problem with AI airplanes not showing in P3D, I upgraded to P3D 1.4 and now do not get any AI airplanes, there was a temp fix in 1.3 config file IFROnly=0 has to be reset every time you fly, now that does not work, will have to wait for a fix from P3D.

Hi Concorde:

Sorry to hear about the issue of the AI planes in P3D!

Is this a generally reported problem amongst users? If so I hope it will get sorted out soon.

Hi SL,

yes it has been for a while now, I am thinking of re installing ver 1.3 just to see if that will help.
