Hi!
I've created .fsu files for all RealAir airplanes currently available for FSX.
The Scout Package 2007 contains the Citabria, Decathlon and three variants of the Scout. The original RealAir operating manuals were used as reference. File names match the folder names so the planes are recognized properly.
I also included files for the SF260 for FSX. There's already a "RealAir_SF-260.fsr" file included with FS Flying School, but it probably is for the FS9 version. The name is different (there's no underscore in the FSX version) and the flap positions are different (10/20 instead of 20/50 degrees). And I also added another .fsu file for the left seat variant.
So now you can fly all the latest and greatest RealAir planes with FS Flying School.
Enjoy!
Edited: Added RealAir.zip which contains all the files together.

Wolfram: >> I've created .fsu files for all RealAir airplanes currently available for FSX. Whoa! Many thanks indeed Wolfram. This is an outstanding contribution to the FSFlyingSchool world and we are most grateful. >> The Scout Package 2007 contains the Citabria, Decathlon and three variants of the Scout. The original RealAir operating manuals were used as reference. File names match the folder names so the planes are recognized properly. Excellent - a real bundle of fun for all the FSFS flyers out there. Great! Now I have to be very clear on this part, is the name of the folder in FSX on your system: "RealAir SF-260" (no underscores) That's what I get from your text - I ask because the name of the FSU file attached to the post is: "RealAir_SF-260.fsu" (with underscore) I am sure you already know this - just making sure - please let us know.
This presents an interesting issue as this means that we'll need to have The Hangar indicate FS2004 and FSX versions if they are different, which they may be due to better modelling or because the add-on aircraft maker has changed the folder name of the aircraft. Also - which version of FSX are you running? I ask this as we have an open issue where a few users reported having problems getting FSX to recognise which aircraft is loaded when they were attempting to create a new FSU for the aircraft. In one case the aircraft involved was the RealAir SF-260. Again - this is not related to FSFlyingSchool correctly processing an FSU or an FSR - it concerns FSFlyingSchool knowing nothing at all about the aircraft that the user is currently flying in FSX and thereby cannot create an FSU using the Aircraft Page of FSFS. Have you had any such problems? >> So now you can fly all the latest and greatest RealAir planes with FS Flying School. Many thanks again for this great addition to FSFS's aircraft. We will have these in The Hangar as soon as possible!

The FSX folder is named "RealAir SF-260" - so no underscores at all. Interestingly, I see no underscores in the file names of my attachments. They only appear underlined to me because they are download links, but when I copy & paste the link's name (in Mozilla Firefox, on Ubuntu Linux), it includes spaces instead of underscores. I wonder why you see it as "RealAir_SF-260.fsu" when you download it? Perhaps that's why the included one wasn't recognized, because the underscore is an error, not part of an older version's name!

This should be a rare exception. I guess that the name got mangled by the forum or your download client might be more likely. Still, there's also the different flap settings, so I'll see if I can figure out if it really is a different version of the plane or simply a mistake by the .fsu file's creator.

I'm running FSX SP1, German version. For .fsu creation, I configured FSX to start in a window and disabled pausing when losing focus from the window. Then I ran FSX, loaded a flight with the plane, and then connected from FSFS. It automatically disconnected after some seconds and I could enter the new plane settings. That procedure caused no problems at all for me.

Many thanks again for this great addition to FSFS's aircraft. We will have these in

Great! You're very welcome...

Wolfram: I will go over the other points shortly - thanks for all the detail. Quick question - my fault, I forgot - what version of FSFlyingSchool were you running when you created the FSUs? We are trying to determine if there can (sometimes) be a problem with certain versions of FSFlyingSchool when creating FSUs using the Aircraft Page. Please let me know.

I used the latest version downloaded and installed (upgraded) yesterday: v1.7.071008

I edited the first post and added a ZIP archive which contains all the files. Now you can download them all at once. And it ensures that their names won't be changed by the forum or your browser. The files within the archive are still the same, of course!

Hello again,
FYI: I talked to Rob Young, the RealAir developer, and he confirmed that "RealAir SF-260" is the standard spelling in both versions (FS9 and FSX). He doesn't think they have ever used an underscore. So the "RealAir_SF-260" included with the FSFS download has the wrong name and wrong flap specification, but since it's name is wrong, it isn't used at all anyways. Maybe you should remove it entirely, and when you include my files (with proper names - that's why I uploaded the ZIP as well), that problem should be fixed!

Wolfram: Many thanks for your help with this. That unwanted underscore certainly did get into the file name at our end and that's no help to anyone. We really appreciate the work you've done on this subject - I hope everyone out there with the RealAir aircraft give your FSU files a try. As I said - these will be in the Hangar as FSR files ASAP.

Just to add a footnote to this discussion... I want to make this clear so that Forum members reading this in the future are not confused by different subjects in this topic. There were 2 issues being discussed: 1. RealAir FSUs kindly added by dedicated Forum member Wolfram. Also - the underscore which had evidently got into the file name of some of the RealAir aircraft as part of a process at FSFlyingSchool's 'lab'. This was unwanted and will be removed in any future FSRs we publish. 2. I discussed at some length with Wolfram the issue that a few users had experienced whereby FSFlyingSchool could not detect the aircraft being used in FSX. This can easily be misunderstood. We are not talking about a user without the correct FSU for the aircraft. We are talking about not being able to create an FSU for the aircraft because FSFlyingSchool could not detect which aircraft was loaded into FSX, at all. Again, just a few users reported this, and this continues to be something we are researching.
A vital point is that Wolfram created his FSUs using FSX + SP1 with FSFlyingSchool v 1.7 (the current version at time of writing), so it clearly works, but a few users are having a problem which, as mentioned, we are investigating. I hope (!) that helps.
