Just a quick question, what version of FSUIP is needed and what is recommended??

For FS9, the FSUIPC version 3.xx is included in FSFS and will install automatically.

For FSX version 4.xx is needed, and the latest version is recommended- I think its 4.83 at the moment.

Dont need to have a registered version of FSUIPC. Just click "cancel" when it asks for registration.

Thx for that,

I have a registered version 4.3, so its ok to stay with that one. (I like the calibration with it)

Just a few quick observations since reinstalling, FSFS Pro now crashes less and I get my scores entered into my logbook, I dont get the sound card error but FSFS sometimes closes its self when i end my flight, as I said this isnt too much of a problem cause it is logging my scores, it wasnt before.

The other issues with FSFS getting my approaches wrong is still present. will follow this on tomorrow. But something else I have came across is a circuit that I have just completed. I have put my logbook results below. As far as Im concerned the circuit was pretty good and my headings for departure, crosswind, downwind and base were spot on and I mean spot on, my final ok wasnt so good but that why I upgraded to Pro for the 'On Approach' feature. I can see what he is saying that would warrant a ZERO score but the circuit log results are just wrong.(see below)

* Late turn onto Base - turn when circuit reference point is 45 degrees behind you.
* Good Base heading.
* Good Base altitude.
* Late on Final - get onto final sooner next time.
* Banking not too steep.
* Landing distance from Circuit reference point:22 feet.
Definite room for improvement...
Circuit Score reset to zero due to poor Landing Score (under 50 points).


Flight Score:91.41

Flight commended in the following areas:
* Smooth turns.
* Nice banking.
* Correct matching of flaps to speeds.
* Comfortable G forces.
* Smooth pitch control.
* Flown within aircraft's maximum speed limit.
* Gentle taxi turns.
* Good take off steering.
* Rotation was not late.

Hi

Now that I have done all that I can to rectify the issues with FSFs Pro 'sound error' (im not convinced that was the error that it reported, an error definately but no sound error) and to some extent made some progress inthat the program is stable and usable, I can live with that. I get an occasional crash and FSFS closes but my scores are being recorded.

But I had hoped that the misinformation given by FSFS would have been corrected also. Unfortunately not, above is the first circuit ive done with FSFS Pro, Im pretty good at circuits but going by the above post, even I can see that it looks like I was flying blind.

Ok so what I have done is recorded a final approach into EGPH runway 06, I have uploaded it to youtube and it is marked as private available via this link only( http://youtu.be/ocJJPDrYYic ). I would also like to record a circuit, but the file ends up being over 4Gb, although it could be broken it into smaller clips, I'm way out of my depth with that. I am in no way good at video editing. Anyway, Back to the clip I have managed to do.

Now in the clip I am about 3 miles from airport and I have 2 white and 2 red lights on the PAPI, Mr Smith tells me Im too high, so I descend more, I now have 1 white and 3 red on PAPI and Im still told that Im too high, so I descend even more....when I get 4 red on PAPI Mr Smith seems to be content, I get my altitude calls but no reference to me being too low or too high. That is until he calls 100 feet and then he realises that im too low and tells me that Im below the glideslope....I have sound enabled and what he says is also written at top of screen for reference.

All I can say at this point is this is contrary to my training and this is not how it is in FSFS 2010. Please help...
