Yes, on those last flights both needles were moving fine...if I was left or right of the runway it would move and if I was above or below the GS it would move as normal. It's strange I know.

I'm not worried about it too much...as long as it's a Jersey/Guernsey quirk then I can live with that!

I bought a new joystick today, so that should improve my flying some more....I got the Saitek Cyborg X and it's superb!! Feels a bit strange because I'm so used to my old controller, but with all the extra buttons and throttle control etc, once I get used to it it should be really good!

Having buttons for Advance and Back-up Flight Mode in FSFS is handy, as is having one for the FSFS Mic Button (5) if you are using the Voice Command Pack.

Besides those, it's great fun of course to be able to operate flaps, gear etc with buttons.

And then there is the trim... make sure you have this correctly set up and life will be a whole lot easier.

Thanks for the tips!

When you say "correctly set up" do you mean have it assigned to buttons or is there some other kind of set up I should be doing?

I do find when I first start a flight I have to make a big adjustment to the elevator trim because it never starts in the middle takeoff position....is that because I haven't set it up properly?

Thanks,
Mark

I guess I mean that it's handy to assign buttons on your joystick, but also that trim must be set correctly for take off.

It's unusual that you would have to make a big adjustment for take off.

In all planes...?

Was it that way before getting the joystick involved?
