In fariness - the manual does say...

Get that plane ready to fly, either in mid-air or on the ground. Get yourself at the controls of the plane.
Launch the FSFlyingSchool program.
Press the Connect Button in FSFlyingSchool.
Switch back to Flight Simulator and enjoy your flight with FSFlyingSchool by your side!

... and we imagine that most folks will understand these instructions, but I see what you mean. We will look at adding a reference to the different ways in which the current Windows task can be switched with others.
