Joe Mini:

As a matter of interest, I'm taking this Flying VERY seriously. In-so-far as doing things properly, correctly, the right order. My goal eventually is to get a real pilot's license. (FS/x is a lot cheaper than renting a plane, instructor, and classroom for hours)

Having said that, I'm flying 'VFR' - the first thing that's taught. And eventually be proficient at VFR and move on to IFR, VOR, and auto-pilot. So for now, I'm not using the autopilot as that is 'advanced' for my training.

But I think, (like you) AP most of the way, and manually land the plane.

Hey Biggles,

I'm doing exactly the same thing as you are doing.  I completed my ground school about a year ago, but the funds and my job haven't had much success with getting up in the real plane as much as I thought I'd be at this point.  So FSFS is taking the place of it!
