I am having problems with FSFS 2010 / FSX. I get the following error.

Run-time error '-2147023728 (80070490)':
Automation error
Element not found

I have looked at issues from other users in the FAQs and compared with my config but with no success.

Any ideas welcome.
Cheers

Thanks John Paul Jones.
I rechecked the settings.ini file and found an extra designation for voice after the Misc. Removed it and the FSFS launched.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Doc:

Good to hear you are up and flying.

I wonder - when you have time, could you show us the before and after versions of the data you removed from the settings.ini file (as best you can remember them). This could be very helpful.

The voice parameter seems to be the issue that was causing the error. It probably was a remnant from the previous installation. As soon as I removed it to match the suggested file contents FSFS was able to connect to FSX. The voice parameter must be set after the initial launch. The voice mode that I removed was 2. The setting today this morning is 0.
