Hi all,
Came across your website and have been taking a looksy for the past hour. Sounds like a very interesting product so I have d/l the demo and will play around with that for the next several weeks (oh yea... I'm moving so make that the next month or so, ha!).
Anywho, I will be comparing it against FS2004 training with "Rod" version. Gawd, I am sure your's is leaps and bounds ahead of that but it is still a good basic instruction guide I feel. I was looking for an overall concept of how you structure the training but really couldn't find one? Couldn't find something like that in the manual either - speaking of which am I blind or is there no table-of-contents?
Actually the reason I write is as I read threads about the forum my idea juices got flowing. I am sure you guys are always looking at ways to expand FSFS so what about "specialy packs". By that I mean you could have a 'Bush Flying' pack where it would be installed into the main program. I am sure there are nuances that are very different to main stream flying that could be incorporated in the instructors vocabulary, program design, etc. One could learn how to fly STOLs, mountain flying, bla-bla... I'm sure you get the point.
Another one that comes to mind is a floatplane specialty pack. Or how about this, an airport specialty pack where one can learn how to fly a particular difficult airport with SIDs and STARs. What comes to mind being the developer of 9Dragons would be how to fly Kai Tak airport correctly.
Just some ideas that were floating in my head as I read about here so I wanted to get them written down. I would say good luck with your product but appears it it already quite successful so for now I will just bid good-day.

Thanks for your interest in FSFS and for your suggestions. We have so far released the Cessna 172 Detail Pack and plan to release more very soon. We feel that FSFS makes a good base upon which several more detailed enhancements can be built. Not everyone wants the same degree of detail or balance of fun and seriousness and so it helps if we can offer these as options. FSFlyingSchool is not a structured set of lessons. As lessons are provided in FS itself, our approach is to take over after Rod Machado's FS lessons and help the sim pilot get the most out of his or her flying with the help of instructors who go anywhere in any powered airplane. Give our regards to Spinner and Paddlefoot!
