Will FSFlyingSchools work with (at the same time) as Just Flight Cargo Pilot?

I cannot recall any reports of any kind of conflict between the two, but remember that the best thing to do is to download and install our free demo from our web site and try that first.

Ok, here is my next question. I was able to use the flight instructor (FSFlyingSchool 2010) with Just Flight's Cargo Pilot. I'm running this on FS2004 by the way. My question is, some, well most of the flights for Cargo Pilot are longer than I can do in 1 sitting. Kids, house, chores, etc... keep me from sitting on FS for 3-4 hours straight. In Cargo Pilot I can Save the flight and come back to it later to pick up where I last left off. How do I do this with FSFlyingSchool 2010? I've noticed when I pause the simulator, then save my progress and eventually close FS2004 it disconnets FSFlyingSchool. How do I make FSFlyingSchool start up in the middle of a flight and still help me with VOR(s) radio changes, etc..? How will it know the flight plan? Or is this not possible? If FSFlyingSchool 2010 really meant for shorter completed flights? Thanks, Gus

Hi Gus.
You can always pause your flight while using FSFS. As long as there are no changes in time/flight/location/plane - anything, then the Instructor will be in "suspended animation". When you unpause, things will continue as not a single second has passed.
But you cannot save a flight with FSFS, and have it continued. Its one attempt pr. flight - period!
But if you want the instructor to follow your progress, waypoints, vors, and stuff like that, then you can save a flight, then open it when you want to, and start FSFS, chose the original flightplan, and connect as usual. Smith or one of his friends will follow your every move from that point on, BUT when you land you will get a landing score, but NO flightscore, as the flight did not include take off. But the inflight evaluation will be just as if you took off and did it in a single flight.
FSFS does not allow saving and continuing, as the program is built to simulate reality as far as it can, and in real life you simply cannot say in mid air: "ok now, Ill save and continue later" You can land somewhere, and in FSX/2004 and FSFS you can also choose to land somewhere else, get your evaluation and then make a flightplan from that destination to the original destination on the next flight.
I did a around the world tour, last year (you can see the reports and pics here on the forum - its called WWT - world wide tour) and here was some very long legs, (1700+ miles) and my friend Joe, who flew it with me, often cut those long legs up into smaller bits, and flew more but shorter legs.
I dont know if you can do that in Cargo Pilot, but these are the options if using FSFS.
Regards
Ole Andreasen, Denmark

Thanks for the help Ole. Also note that if FSFS disconnects after FS is paused for a long time it is because the clock in FS is still running and is not paused when the flight is paused or at least does not pick up where it left off when you UNPAUSE the flight. This is a setting you control in FS. So... in summary... as described in the FSFS manual... for FSFS to work, the clock in the aircraft has to pick up where it left off when you UNPAUSE the flight. I cannot remember the setting in FS but it is something like "link aircraft clock to PC clock?" and this has to be set to OFF.
