Sounds like an OS permissions thing but I've tried everything I can think of: reinstall s/w, check for latest version again, uninstall + reg clean, changing owners, running as admin, changing UAC settings (Vista Ultimate SP2) to off....I still always get the same message. I think it is something about the machine settings because... I had previous version running a year or so ago no problems although I didn't get to use it much but when I tried to run it I got the same error. I even went ahead and purchased the 2009 version but I again get the same error: Error 429: ActiveX compnent can't create object Location: FileExists The Windows Script Runtime can often fix the error. Would you like to visit Microsoft.com to download it? I even ran the Runtime Script update but still no success. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks for your time. -Steve

Hello, I am having the same issue, I've tried everything mentioned on this post and others on the forum without any luck..(Reinstall, check admin rights, install as admin, download windows script, etc). My system is Vista 64. Any help or advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi - I just saw there are 2 forum topics used for this - so a little repetition from me I am afraid. I just want to be categorically certain of the facts in this case... Firstly - can you tell us if you installed FS and FSUIPC and FSFS as the same user and also is that user an administrator? This is by far the best way to run the software and it may not work if this is not done due to the increasingly conservative approach of Windows security. We are also looking at the issue you described - please let us know and we'll continue from there.
