I have FS Instant Approach. I have set up the misc pause off to be the right control key. The program then puts the plane in the approach mode when I press Connect
but pressing the right control key does nothing. Can't turn the pause off. Have tried several different keys, but I still can't turn off pause. Help!

Hi Nojman47:

Glad to help! I am sure we can sort this out quickly for you.

For completeness and for reference for other readers, this is the section from the FS Instant Approach manual which explains the required procedure on page 2...

Requires Key to END PAUSE MODE in Flight Simulator
IMPORTANT! When FS Instant Approach puts you on approach it will PAUSE Microsoft Flight Simulator
2020. You must define a key or button in Flight Simulator to END PAUSE MODE so that you can end it
and fly the approach. Defining this key or button can be done very simply at the Controls screen of
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Note that this is NOT the “ACTIVE PAUSE”. This is “Miscellaneous – Set Pause OFF”.

>> Can't turn the pause off. Have tried several different keys, but I still can't turn off pause. Help!

As the CTRL keys are mostly used in combination with others, can you perhaps use a different key which is not such a combination key (not Shift or Alt, etc) and which is not already used by MSFS or is used but controls something in MSFS for which you have no need?

Alternatively, if you have them, you can assign a button on your USB controls or joystick or yoke.

The problem is that 'Set pause off' is not working with the keys you have tested so far. This is an issue with MSFS - but can be solved with the options described above.

Once done, you will be able to fly your approaches!

Please let me know how you get on and if you have any questions.
