THIS IS NO LONGER AN ISSUE SO LONG AS THE USER HAS FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10 version 6.4.0 or higher...
See 6.4.0 details here...
http://www.fsflyingschool.com/forum/Topic13455-30-1.aspx
The original post is left here for reference...
If you have a non-Latin character set based PC and get a message about offsets.xp from FSFlyingSchool 2018 version 6.3.0 for X-Plane...
... a small number of users in China and Korea have experienced a problem when they press connect in FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10 and get the following message...
"The following FSFlyingSchool file has been changed since installation on this PC and no longer contains correct information: offsets.xp"
If you have experienced this with FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10 version 6.3.0, here is the solution...
FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10 version 6.3.0 adds new features and an issue may occur if the PC has non-Latin characters. The issue has occurred in China and Korea. We will very shortly publish a new installer program for FSFlyingSchool which solves this, but in the meantime, we have a solution for anyone experiencing this problem...
We have created a new version which solves the problem with FSFlyingSchool version 6.3.0 with a PC running with non-Latin characters.
You just need to put 2 files into your FSFlyingSchool folder in which FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10 is already installed on your PC.
The first is
http://www.fsflyingschool.com/download/offsetcheck.off
The second file replaces your existing FSFlyingSchool 6.3.0 with a new version 6.3.2.
This is what you need to do...
Please rename the application file
FSFlyingSchool.exe
which is inside your existing installation of FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10
to Disable_FSFlyingSchool.exe
and then download (DO NOT LAUNCH) this file
http://www.fsflyingschool.com/download/FSFlyingSchool____6_3_2.exe
and put it into the same folder.
Then rename the file you downloaded to
FSFlyingSchool.exe
This will mean it is now the file that will be used when you launch FSFlyingSchool 2018 for X-Plane 11 and 10.
You will know if you have done this correctly when you launch FSFlyingSchool after you get into a plane in XP. FSFlyingSchool will show that it is version 6.3.2. The version you already have is not that - it is version 6.3.0.
That should be all you need to do.
Finally - quit all programs - launch XP - get into plane - launch FSFlyingSchool 2018 v 6.3.2 and press connect and go flying!
