Hi just purchased and love it but I have an issue. When I get to my cruise altitude I change to cruise mode. I then hit AP and all of a sudden the mode changes to landing and I can't change it. I am new to Flightsims so may be something I am doing. I have tried turning on AP before changing to cruise and samething happens. Thanks

Hi again Dlocke:
Excellent - the fun is just starting.
Get ready for quite a ride. The thing is... FSFlyingSchool is the result of over 10 years of continuous development and there are a lot of features within it.
I think what you may be seeing is the automatic change to landing mode when a continuous descent has been noted by the instructor. This could certainly be caused by the AP as that can initiate a descent when you are asking it to hold an given altitude.
Pilots who want more control simply turn off FSFlyingSchool's two features which automatically detect 'cruise' and 'landing' modes and I recommend that you do the same. They are both at the 'Automatic Detection Setup' section of the Pilots Screen of FSFlyingSchool.
Be sure, when you have a moment, to take a look through the main manual as there are a lot of features in there and it's a shame to miss them (less fun) and it's a shame to battle with those that are simply not understood.
