I am on a clean install of Windows 10 Home Pro (Reinstalled windows after having the same issue). The installer I am using is FSFlyingSchool_2017_XPlane11_Setup.exe. I am running this as an administrator and also tried reinstalling this into the ProgramData directory but getting the same error. The error dump listed above has the following text.

Is there a prerequisite I may be missing? MSVBVM60.DLL points to VB6 which doesn't seem to be released for Windows 10...

Thanks

Hi Rick:

Rest assured that we are able to solve almost every case - we will need to gather some data and ask you to do a few things - but we certainly should be able to get you up and flying.

1. Running as an administrator is essential - please perform the following EXACT steps for both the installer AND the program (FSFlyingSchool) it installs. Please install it to a completely NEW folder for this test.

IMPORTANT! FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'.

2. You mentioned "after having the same issue". An issue with what?

>> I am on a clean install of Windows 10 Home Pro (Reinstalled windows after having the same issue).

3. If the above step (1) does not solve the case, you will most likely need to tell your security software that it must allow FSFlyingSchool to run without hindrance - this is often called "allow" or "permit" or something similar in the menus of the security software on your PC.

Please let me know how you get on and if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply.

1) I uninstalled then reinstalled it in the folder "C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool" (Before I tried "C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFlyingSchool" and "C:\ProgramData\FSFlyingSchool"), checked the run as administrator (I was doing this before as well) and it worked

2) For this I meant that I was receiving the exact error before trying the 2 folders above so I decided to reinstall windows just in case it was something I installed in the past that may have messed with a configuration somewhere...

3) In regards to security software I don't have any extra AntiVirus installed at the moment, just the default Windows defender pre-installed with Windows 10.

Thanks a lot again and I can't wait to try it out.

Rick
