A small number of users have reported hearing their instructor report that:

"... a WAV file is missing - please report this."

This refers to one of the WAV files that make up the 'script' of all the things that each instructor can say.

The effect is quite unintended and has appeared with the release of version 1.9 of FSFlyingSchool.

The missing WAV file is potentially reported when the pilot is using the MIXTURE control of an aircraft, but only when the mixture is not at full rich.

We don't want you to hear about a missing file which is not, actually, missing. We want to help you solve this problem (if you've ever even heard it).

The solution is simple, just download from our web site using this link or just grab the file attached to this forum post

    WaveFileIsMissing.wav  http://www.fsflyingschool.com/download/WaveFileIsMissing.wav

(to download from this link RIGHT CLICK and then pick SAVE TARGET AS)

...and then put that one file into the following folder on your PC:

    C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\Sound

(the location may be different if you installed FSFlyingSchool elsewhere)

In doing this you will need to overwrite (replace) the existing single file called

    WaveFileIsMissing.wav

This will now mean that the missing wav file will not be reported - the replacement file plays nothing but silence for a fraction of a second.

The missing wav file is not important - it relates to a feature which we are developing.    We are looking at why this occured!

This will mean that you can enjoy FSFlyingSchool version 1.9 without being bothered by this incorrect message.

We will let you know what we find about this issue with version 1.9.

Remember - if you've never heard this message spoken by your instructor - don't worry about it! You have nothing to fix!
