I'm thinking of re-registering my old copy of FSFS, but I'm a little confused by the website details - mainly regarding which aircraft detail packs relate to what.

Which of the following (below) are 3rd party compatible (A2A, Aerosoft, iFly etc.) and which are default/native P3D?

- NEW! Beaver Detail Pack
- NEW! Cherokee Detail Pack
- NEW! Twin Otter Detail Pack
- Bombardier CRJ 700 Detail Pack
- Boeing 757 Detail Pack
- Douglas DC3 Detail Pack
- Learjet 45 Detail Pack
- Beechcraft King Air 350 Detail Pack
- Cessna 208B Caravan Detail Pack
- Cessna 182 Detail Pack
- Beechcraft Baron 58 Detail Pack
- Mooney Bravo Detail Pack
- Cessna 152 Detail Pack
- Cessna 172 Detail Pack

Thanks!

Adam.

Hi Adam:

- Beechcraft King Air 350 Detail Pack - P3D
- Cessna 208B Caravan Detail Pack - FSX
- Cessna 182 Detail Pack - Carenado - A2A + FSX
- Beechcraft Baron 58 Detail Pack - P3D
- Mooney Bravo Detail Pack - P3D

Fantastic - thanks Jeff - just the job!

No problem about the delay. Gives me a bit more time to scrape up the cash!!! Things are a bit short these days :-(

I used to be a fairly regular FSFS user a few years ago, but somehow got sidetracked. I know FSFS will run with most standard aircraft - it's the *detail* packs info I was after - particularly with respect to the more in-depth add-ons (A2A, Aerosoft etc.) - as you never know if their fancy coding kicks FSFS into touch, as it were.

Hi Adam:

Yes - you are right on the money here - the special coding used in products like PMDG, Aerosoft and A2A can sometimes mean that we cannot get all the information we need about the aircraft via FSUIPC and as a result adjustments need to be made, either by our writing special code to deal with it, or often by simply adjusting the aircraft data at the screens in FSFlyingSchool itself.

Happily we have had help from two of those publishers, specifically A2A and Aerosoft.

For completeness, at this point I also want to mention Carenado and Just Flight, who have always been most generous with their help whenever we have asked for it. Their planes tend to work without issue with FSFlyingSchool.
