Hi,

I have registered FSUIPC thinking that it might have been the problem, but FSFlyingschool says it can't find

a flight sim on my system. Yet FS2004 shows up under the settings box in FSFlyingschool. What am I

doing wrong?

Hendrik

1. Can you please send us a screen shot of the problem - this helps us enormously. Either send to the forum or email to info@fsflyingschool.com

2. Just to be clear - right now you have FSUIPC for FS2004 installed and available on the Modules Menu of FS2004?
We note that you registered it - for clarity - this is not necessary. It is however an excellent program and we're sure you'll enjoy Pete's cool features.

3. If you are not already doing this, be sure to observe these tips:

FSFS requires FSUIPC 3.xxxx to be installed correctly in order to communicate with FS2004.

If it is installed correctly then follow these steps. We have found that with so many different combinations of FS and Vista and XP and other add-ons, this sequence is the best to follow...

Start your PC OFF.

Turn on your PC.

Launch FS2004.

Select an aircraft which you are certain is supported by FSFS. We suggest you start with the Cessna 172. All supported aircraft exist as files in the Aircraft folder of your FSFS installation.

Get your aircraft onto a runway or taxiway or at a gate - ready to fly.

Launch FSFS.

Press the CONNECT button in FSFS.

You should hear "FSFlyingSchool - connecting!"

After that you are ready to fly, but please read the manual in order to understand what the instructor is trying to tell you and why - you will enjoy the product so much more.

If you have any problems, please state the nature of the problem in detail including any error messages. Please send screen shots as attachments if problems occur on the screen.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Squadron Leader,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have found the problem when you said have you got FSUIPC3 version *** installed correctly. I double checked it, and realised I had an earlier version installed. I installed the later .ddl file into the relevant FS folder, and hey presto... I was in business. Did my first flight with flight school and scored four zero's although I thought I made a perfect landing... looks like I'll have to do a few more instructional flights.

Thanks for the program..so far it seems great.

Regards

Hank
