I followed all the steps but FSFS can't find P3D.
FSUIPC latest is already installed and working with for example Opus.

Any other people having same problem?

Hi Maarten:

Sorry to read you are having an issue with the demo.

The best way to proceed is for me to assume nothing and start from basic principles.

Make sure you are using the latest version of FSUIPC4.

If the FSFlyingSchool demo is installed and FSUIPC is functioning in P3Dv3 then the procedure is...

- Quit all programs.
- Configure the shortcut, icon or Start Menu item which launches FSFlyingSchool to force it to always 'Run As Administrator' exactly as described in the FSFlyingSchool PRO 2016 for P3Dv3 manual - this is essential. (You only have to do this once of course).
- Launch P3Dv3.
- Create or select a flight in P3Dv3 at KGRB (Green Bay).
- Get a powered airplane ready to fly. Get yourself at the controls of the plane.
- Launch the FSFlyingSchool program.
- Press the Connect Button in FSFlyingSchool.
- Return to P3Dv3 and enjoy your flight with FSFlyingSchool.

If after taking all these steps there is a problem, please take a screen shot of the entire screen and send it to support@FSFlyingSchool.com

Finally - which version of P3D are you using (full version number please)?

I've done every step but FSFS won't recognize P3D.
As said before, other add-ons communicate without any problems using FSUIPC

Here are my versions
P3D 3.0.10.14945
FSUIPC 4949

I'll just wait for now until you can confirm FSFS is tested and working with versions mentioned.

[EDIT]
FSUIPC information says:
Can't Connect - IPC request contains bad data

Hi:

Yes it is - with those exact versions.

I believe yours is the first report of this nature - a great number of people are using FSFS PRO 2016 with P3Dv3.

- Does FSUIPC appear on the add-ons menu in P3Dv3 when you are in a plane?

- Are you running FSFS as an administrator using the exact method described in the FSFS manual?
TIP: Here's what the manual says:
FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'.

- Have you registered FSFS PRO 2016 for P3Dv3?

- Where did you purchase it (if you have)?

Please let me know.

re installing FSUIPC did the trick.

Although my addons were working fine, I realised that FSUIPC wasn't showing in the P3D menu. So something wasn't right with FSUIPC.

Thanks!!

Hi:

Excellent result! Thanks for letting me know - it helps everyone.

To other readers - please always make sure that FSUIPC appears on the Add-ons menu of P3D or FSX when you are in a plane. (For FS2004 it needs to be on the 'Modules' menu).

You DO NOT need to select anything from that menu, but you do need to make sure that FSUIPC appears there.

If it does not appear there, it is not installed correctly, or not installed at all.

Finally - always use the latest version of FSUIPC for your simulator. This is essential as we often publish versions of FSFlyingSchool which depend on features which only exist in the latest version of FSUIPC. This is true of FSUIPC 4 and FSUIPC 3.
