I have had the FS fs program for X-plane a short while and am quite new to this. In the last 2 days my Landing scores have gone down to the 60s from hi 70s-80s earlier. Im now informed that the Glide slope was lost before I flared (this wasn't noted before)... In most recent cases the Glide Slope was rated around 100% as was the Localizer and the Landing looked ok to me... What am I possibly doing wrong now?
Thanx Pacnep

Hi Pacnep:

Thanks for your interest in FSFS! Glad to help.

It sounds like FSFS is correctly reducing the score if the GS is being lost before flaring now, but was not before.

So... we need to look at what may have changed...

GS lost before flaring refers to the pilot flying considerably beyond the point on the runway that the GS would lead the pilot to, and only then landing.

There are a number of reasons this may be occurring now, but not before.

Are you flying a different aircraft?

Different runway?

Different type of approach (visual versus ILS or vice versa)?

Different weather?

Different approach speed?

Please let me know.

Greetings from Baja Thanx for the reply. I have been using airport KOLM Olympia, same ac C172 and no wx. Ive just made 9 landings and 3 of the last 4 were called Splendid with 79.00, 68.50, 45.00 to keep me honest and a 62.89... . I think I was not flaring earlier enough but following the GS too much at the last minute and beyond the point I use to flare up visually earlier. So its more practice for a while. I appreciate your inputs
