Hello,
does FSFlyingSchool Pro 2015 work with P3D 3.0?
Is there anything special, which I have to do?

Good question. I've read that many owners of v3 are having problems with installing third party add ons into v3. I certainly hope FSFS doesn't become one of them.
I just updated to FSFS '15 P3D 4.2.0 recently for Prepar3D v2, and now I just installed Prepar3D v3.
I have not tried anything with FSFS into v3 yet, as I don't want to mess anything up with my current v2 FSFS set up. My FSFS '15 4.2.0 is directly installed into the P3D v2 folder.
For what it's worth, both my P3D v2 and v3 are installed side by side on a separate internal HD, and both v2 and v3 are functioning perfectly, with no conflict so far.

Hi you two. I have bought P3D V3, and I am using FSFlyingSchool Pro 2015 for P3D (version 4.2.0) with it, problem free. I just manually changed the path to P3D V3 inside of FSFlyingSchool. Works like a charm.
Then I went to the Pete Dawson page (home of FSUIPC) HERE and downloaded "MakeRunways 4.692". I put it into the FSFlyingSchool Pro 2015 P3D main folder, AND into the main P3DV3 folder, then ran the "Generate runway data for P3D" in FSFlyingSchool, and it went through the process just fine.
It works fine as paint, or how the saying goes  The make runways process is not strictly mandatory, but if you want to be sure that all your runways are recognized correctly in FSFlyingSchool, its the right thing to do.
PS. Also remember to update FSUIPC to latest version (found on the same page as the "MakeRunways" file I linked to, above.

This is good info Ole, thank you very much!  I think this thread should be made into a sticky, because others certainly could benefit from this.

I'm glad you said this, because I can't generate runways. As you can see from the screenshot, I ran it from inside FSFS once P3D v3 was running:
This was from using the current 'makerwys exe' version on the shiratti site now. I did notice that there was an old makerwys exe in the FSFS folder from 1/2/2015, that is 52 kb's in size. The new one is 56 kb's.
Does it matter? I wasn't sure, so I moved it out and replace it with the new one. Maybe I had the runway info generated after all, and did not need to run it now? Not sure...
I did take p3d v3 out for a test run before doing all of the makerunways additions, and before updating FSUIPC. Then did all of these updates, and went out again.
Everything seemed normal, so I'm not sure I want to mess with it further. If that is the case, hopefully the data is good as is. Thanks again Ole.

I too managed to adopt FSFlyingSchool to P3Dv3 in the described way. Now it is working great.
Regarding the MakeRwys tool it is important to have the newest version from the Schiratti homepage both in the FSFlyingSchool folder and the P3Dv2 folder. It have to be the identical versions!

Yes - that´s what I did anyway - put the latest version in BOTH directories... worked for me. But glad that the general adoption of FSFS worked for you guys too - Please post after some flights, if you are having problems, or if it works all the way - please post either way, for the benefit of others.

Hi P3Dv3 fans!
Congratulations on the excellent work done by you all - and many thanks for sharing it with the forum so that we can all see the results of your efforts and the depth of your expertise.
We are busy working away to get to the point where we can officially announce full compatibility with P3Dv3.
But in the meantime, it certainly appears folks can simply follow your steps and have a working version of FSFS PRO 2015 for P3Dv2 running with P3Dv3.
And yes - please always use the very latest FSUIPC4 and the very latest MakeRwys.exe

| FWIW, my Prepar3D v3 folder doesn't have a makerwys.exe, so I was able to just copy the exe into the FSFS directory.
