I had a terrific flight with Carenado's Pilatus PC-12 v1.3 and Mr. Smith assisting me all the way. The only odd thing is that Mr. Smith told me that I must retract the flaps during taxi, even though the PC-12 POH states that flaps should be extended 15 degrees (1st notch) prior to taxi, and I coded the FSU file accordingly.
Here is the FSU file I created for the Pilatus PC-12:
[flaps.0]
flaps-position.1=15
flaps-position.2=30
flaps-position.3=40
flaps-position.4=0.0
flaps-position.5=0.0
flaps-position.6=0.0
flaps-position.7=0.0
flaps-position.8=0.0
flaps-position.9=0.0
[reference speeds]
IASTooFastForFlaps0=163
IASTooFastForFlaps1=130
IASTooFastForFlaps2=130
IASTooFastForFlaps3=0
IASTooFastForFlaps4=0
IASTooFastForFlaps5=0
IASTooFastForFlaps6=0
IASTooFastForFlaps7=0
IASTooFastForFlaps8=0
IASStallCruise=76
IASStallLanding=50
MaxGearExtension=170
[misc settings]
RetractableGear=1
Spoilers=0
FloatPlane=0
FlapsDownDuringTaxi=1
Did I miss something?
Thanks.

Hi:
Glad you enjoyed your flight!
This is very puzzling - did Mr Smith correctly handle the subject of the retractable gear? He should tell you to raise it (eventually) after you take off and to lower it (eventually) when you are about to land.
Please let me know.

On this particular flight Mr. Smith correctly called for the gear to be raised, but later on final I lowered it too soon for him to call causing a overspeed gear situation (thank goodness for X-Plane's instant repairs).
I did however start several new sessions and try more attempts at taxiing the PC-12 with flaps at 15 degrees and Mr. Smith is still insistent that I retract them.

Hi:
OK - so the gear logic is working fine, but not the flaps-during-taxi logic.
Most puzzling!
We're looking at this and will let you know what we can find!

Hey SL. Question also on the Flight1 PC-12, the spoilers key on the keyboard activate the sun visors, but Mr. Smith seems to hate the sun a lot, cause everytime I raise the visors up, he complains about the spoilers being deployed.
Thanks

Hi:
It appears the aircraft is telling the simulator that its spoilers are deployed. Therefore, the simulator is telling FSFlyingSchool that the spoilers are deployed - the only way to stop this message being spoken is to rename the audio file to something else - this will silence it forever.
The file is...
RetractSpoilers.wav
and each instructor has one.
For example - the file for "MrSmith" is here... (or wherever else you installed it)
C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFlyingSchool\Sound\MrSmith
Once renamed, this means of course that you will not hear it spoken for planes which really have spoilers deployed.
