All of a sudden I am getting an error message:
Run-time Error -2147023728(80070490)
Automation error.

I am running FSX Accel and Windows 7.
Anyone have any ideas.

Hi wschneid:

Thanks for your detailed report - this always saves time - helps us solve things faster. The following applies to all our products.

We find in the few cases where this error has been noted that it can be solved by either returning the configuration of audio equipment and software on your PC to a previous state (which can be as simple as, for example, plugging back in a USB headset which was previously plugged in) or if no audio equipment or software has changed...

...perform the following steps to make certain that the software is always being told to run as an administrator - even if you are the only person who uses the PC.

You should always launch our products as an administrator or Windows may prevent operations such as saving your own data to your PC.

To do this just right click on the icon which launches FSFlyingSchool and choose "Run as Administrator" - you should also indicate that this is a permanent choice in the "Properties" of the icon - accessed by a right click - in the "Advanced" button on the "Shortcut" tab.

Please let me know how you get on and if you have any questions.

thanks for the prompt reply. I plugged the mike back in and changed the setting to "run as administrator" and the program connected correctly. However when I disconnected the mike I got the same error message. Do I have to hav the mike always connected or is there some setting I can change to get it to work without the mike. The program worked fine before I ever hooked a mike up.

Hi wschneid:

Excellent report - many thanks!

This should do it...

Please close the simulator and with your microphone plugged instart FSFlyingSchool by itself and change the settings screen so that the "Voice command status" is "Off - no voice commands".

Then quit FSFlyingSchool, unplug your microphone and start the simulator, get into a plane and then start FSFlyingSchool again and let me know what occurs when you press "connect" in FSFlyingSchool.
