Hi, First, Happy New Year to all OK, I'm a very new customer to FSFlyingSchool 2014. I missed hearing about this software somehow and only found out it existed when JustFlight did a promo on it late here in the UK in November 2014. UP till today I'd only installed it with FSX Gold Edition (boxed), digested some of the manual, but had no chance to fly with it (family, work and christmas all seemed to think they were far more important than my virtual flying time lately! )..... but now after an 11 hour download marathon I've migrated to FSX:Steam, and sadly FSFS2014 just won't play ball. I've read in other threads here that the new 2015 version is going to get the FSX:Steam treatment very soon.....my question is, will this be a free patch for upgrading an existing FSFS2015 installation, and will the FSFS2014 version gain Steam compatability too by release of a patch? .....or am I going to be left with no option other than to purchase an upgrade to FSFS2015?
Thanks for any info you can provide on this (and my apologies if i've missed it elsewhere in these forums already!) Best regards from the UK Rob
Always something to learn.....

Hi there Robbie
From other forum posts, and from past experiences - I can tell you that the Steam compatibility will be to the -2015 version. Although FSInventions support every single version of FSFlyingSchool, even back to version 1 - from 2006! work is always, and very logically, done on the current version - and this is the FSFS Pro 2015 version.
BUT - if you look at the upgrade link on top of this page (in blue) you can see how much you gain from an upgrade - its really amazing. All the detail packs will be of SUCH importance to you, in no time, plus the added awareness. AND with the upcoming free upgrade to the Steam version (and a VERY exciting version of FSX it seems to be(come)), there is all to gain from an upgrade.
All in my very own, personal, and humble opinion of course...
- And a happy new year to you to, by the way!
Regards
Ole Andreasen, Denmark

Hello Ole,
Thanks for the greets and info, nice to meet you! I can see you're a pretty busy & knowledgeable fella around here!
Since your post and while skipping merrily through the forums I got mugged by the internet fairies... they stole my card and went shopping
Now sitting patiently rocking gently backwards and forwards, staring at the screen and waiting for news on a Steam patch for FSFS2015....
....presses F5 yet again, see's there is still no news. F5 key finally breaks and falls off keyboard
(sigh)
Cheers!
Rob
