Hi, I'm a new user with a new install. I just registered today. I picked up the bundle which includes the command pack. Everything seems to be working great except for the command pack. It's not "listening" to me nearest I can tell. From the documentation it doesn't appear that there is any response if it doesn't "understand" so I can't be sure about that.

There also don't appear to be any logs that I can find that tell me what devices the command pack is trying to listen to so I've disabled all microphone devices in the system control panel on my computer except for the one I'm using. I'm running Windows 8.1.

Voice recognition works great for windows itself so I know the microphone is working and recognition is configured correctly. I am not running the windows voice recognition software at the same time as FSFlyingSchool as it has been suggested in other threads here.

It is doing this for the multi plane edition and the c172 edition.

I am running on X-Plane 10 but I suspect that isn't relevant as it's likely all the command processing is part of the client.

I am technically savvy and a programmer myself so if there is any data you'd like me to collect to resolve this, just say the word.

Hi:

It is more than likely that there are several different sound devices listed at the Settings screen of FSFS and our experience is that only ONE of them will work correctly, so it is essential that you go to that screen and try the different devices (and press save each time) until you select the one that works.

Usually - this is all that is needed.

Of course - you also have to indicate to FSFS how you want to control the voice command input (with the 5 key or "listen all the time").

Please let me know how you get on.

I should have included that I've seen your response to another user with a similar issue with these same suggestions. I have tried this as well including using listen at all times and manual mode. In manual mode I've observed FSFS confirming voice command mode on and off.

The only sound card options are for my output devices. There isn't any place to specify the input device though the Turtle Beach Shadow device happens to also be the one that the microphone uses. Why is the input device not a configurable option? Now days the input device is frequently different than the output device with the new multi channel headphones on the market.

It would be really helpful if there was any kind of feedback for when it hears but doesn't understand. It may be hearing me but just not understanding. I really have no way to tell. Also can you please output basic debug information to a log much like X-Plane does. Then I would have some clue as to where to look instead of taking shoots in the dark.
