Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the product description mentions that the included Baron 58 detail pack "has the instructor reading Beechcraft Baron 58 checklists to you". I've taken three flights so far with the default Baron 58 (landing scores not too hot right now, working on it) but I haven't heard the instructor reading back any checklists to me. Is there a specific key-combination to trigger the checklist read-outs for taxi, take-off, climb, cruise, etc.?

The 2013 manual only mentions "detailed verbal and written checklists" in the section on the FSX Boeing 737 Detail Pack, with no further instructions on how to use or disable that feature for the 737 or any other detail pack.

I am running FSFS 2013 Pro v6.0.0, dated Dec 12 2012, purchased and downloaded from PCAviator. FSFS picks up "C:\Program Files (x86)\FSFlyingSchool\Aircraft\beech_baron_58.fsr" as the "Data Source" when connected. The "Monitor Beechcraft Baron 58" option is available, and checked. But I can't find any options to select or trigger check-list read-outs.

The instructor (Mr Whittle) has so far not provided any "detailed treatment" for handling the default Baron 58 that would not apply to any other GA aircraft. (Nothing about adjusting propeller pitch or fuel, etc.)

In the few hours a week I get to enjoy FSX, I typically fly short hops in the default Baron 58. The fact that FSFS Pro 2013 had added a "Baron 58 detail pack" and "checklist read-outs" was the main reason I purchased this product. But so far no checklist read-outs or visual prompts!

Two more Baron 58 questions, while I am on the subject:

- Is the Baron 58 detail pack compatible with the Carenado Baron 58?

- When taxiing around small airports in the default Baron 58, the instructor calls out "Careful, you're very close to that aircraft" rather often, even though there is a good two wingspans between myself and the other GA aircraft. (Usually happens when I'm parked in the grass, and another GA passes behind me on the taxiway.) If I had to guess, I would say FSFS thinks I'm in a larger aircraft. Can (or does) the "detail pack" extend to knowing the external measurements of the Baron 58, and adjust spacing "warnings" to account for the smaller size of this aircraft?

Hi:

Thanks for your interest in FSFS PRO 2013.

You can find full details of the detail packs in the 7 manuals installed on your PC when FSFS is installed. These are all in the folder in which the program was installed and can also be seen on the Start Menu under FSFlyingSchool.

Checklists are triggered by the keystrokes listed in the respective manuals.

Not all the instructors know all the details - please use Mr Smith for the Baron and the 737.

The distance at which the instructor warns of other aircraft on the ground is in proportion to the size of the aircraft - our warnings are perhaps more cautious than those of others.

And yes - the Baron detail pack is compatible with the Carenado Baron.
