I wrote this via email to a customer not yet in the forum and thought it might be of general use... >> While I am waiting for permission to use the runway, the instructor is to impatient. Several times disconnected Flightinstructor because he thought I was waiting to long. If disconnection is occurring, something is not working correctly on the PC in question or Flight Simulator is not being operated as expected. FSFlyingSchool will not disconnect unless the user changes the situation dramatically - such as changing the date or time, moving the aircraft in slew mode, or changing the aircraft, or if the user ever flies an aircraft it does not recognise. It will not disconnect simply because the pilot has to wait for something. >> When I am starting at the beginning of the runway - instead of starting from the platform - Flyingschool instructor still thinks I need to taxi. The manual explains that if you start on the ground, you start in taxi mode. If you are ready to take off, you must advance the FSFlyingSchool flight mode using the key presses explained in the manual. >> When I have permission to start rolling on the runway and create speed to start flying, the instructor keeps calling that I have to slow down when I am taxiïng. This is because you have not told your instructor that you are about to take off by advancing the flight mode to take off as explained in the manual. >> Last thing that I noticed is, that when I need to reset my altitudegauge, and I cannot find the right key, FSchool keeps just saying that I need to reset my altitudegauge. An extra tip on how to do this, would be welcome. FSFlyingSchool requires the user to know how to operate Flight Simulator. If you are unfamiliar with Flight Simulator's keys, pressing F10 in Flight Simulator will produce a useful reference to keys. Also - you can turn on flying tips in Flight Simulator - see the Flight Simulator menu. The key to reset the altimeter is B You will find this sort of information, and a great deal more, on our forum at: http://www.fsflyingschool.com/forum Please post your questions there so that other users can benefit from the discussion. Happy landings!
