Hi folks,
My question is about joining the circuit for landing and how FSFS interacts. Is the instructor concerned at all with the upwind approach/downwind/base and final? It seems that whenever the Landing Flight Mode is entered, the instructor tells me that I am not lined up with the center line. Does the time in the circuit (else than in final) influences your landing score?
A great software that keeps on improving. Jolly good show!

Hi Mario:
Thanks for your kind words!
The only time the instructor is watching a circuit pattern is during the "circuit training" mode of FSFS.
During a regular approach and landing (when not in the specialized circuit training mode), this is dealt with by the instructor grading your performance based on the flight from 500 feet AGL until you land. He wants you on final when you descend through 500 AGL. Indeed in circuit mode he tells the pilot that this is what he wants.
So... you can fly the pattern as you like (as in real life) but make sure that once you descend through 500 AGL in landing mode, you are lined up with the runway on final.
