I had a great deal of fun setting up some approaches with all sorts of "hairy" conditions, until I encountered a 100k crosswind .. arrgh!!!
How does FSFS deal with dynamic weather (REX/REXE in my case)?
I get the distinct impression that it *adds* to whatever's already there, rather than replacing it - so I got mine doubled up (well, almost!!).
It seems a shame to have to disable live weather when using FSFS, as it all adds to the fun (and immersion).
How would FSFS cope with periodic windspeed injection from an external weather engine? I can't see how it could be done.
Adam.

Hi Adam:
Good to see you are having fun with the software!
In summary, we cannot predict what will happen when 3rd party weather software is also involved with FSFS Pro or FS Instant Approach in terms of setting up 'instant approaches'.
Our general policy is always "please try the free demos before you think about making a purchase".
Of course this is separate from using FSFS Pro in general, separate from the issue of setting up 'instant approaches' with their associated options for changing the weather. Folks have been using FSFS with 3rd party weather and other software for years with excellent results.
Sorry this may not help much but I hope it at least makes an honest statement of the situation.

Yes - me too ... it only bit me in the you-know-where when I tried some "extreme" conditions in the "Instant Approach" section of FSFS.
I've used REX for years - and always enjoyed the variety/unpredictability you get when you jump in for a quick FSFS session. I just let it get on with it. I've not messed with any of the weather settings in FSUIPC to try and keep it simple.
I think the problem is when you try to *force* a set of conditions (as in FSFS/Instant Approach). If you have some other application periodically injecting its own data, then there's bound to be a problem. I couldn't see a solution - just thought you bright sparks might LOL!
