Hi -

We designed FSIA to set the altitude at something at which the pilot could then bring the airplane into a landing without too much trouble.

We did this by placing the plane on an extension of the glide slope.

I the pilot starts a very long way from the runway, this can mean that the plane starts a long way up there in the clouds...

Folks have been enjoying all this and getting good use out of the program, but in response to several requests, we have added a feature to allow the pilot to set the altitude of the approach before connecting to FSX/FS2004. In this way, the altitude can be whatever the pilot wants to practice.
