Mr Smith is talking a lot. That is great, but there is nothing to hear anything from the tower en the weather. Must I reinstall FSX or is there another possibility?
All other sounds like engine en other stuff is in order.
Who can help me?

Hi - FSFlyingSchool does not conflict with the sounds of FSX, but other programs may have different effects. 1. Are you using other programs for weather etc? 2. Check the sound settings in FSX - the user has a considerable number of options there. What are the volume settings there? 3. All this can be tested with the free demo before you buy. Don't buy unless you are completely happy with the way it performs on your PC. Please let me know how you get on.

I had a similar issue where the default device for voice had been changed by FSX, but in my case the switch was not caused simply by updating the software, but by an external program... Skype. This was because Skype and for that matter other programs can take over control of your sound devices, so you should ensure they are still set correctly.
Go into the windows Control Panel and check the default devices being used for playback, then once done check FSX settings for sound, and see which windows devices are being used for the sounds and the voices.
They are normally set to the Default Primary and Default Device in FSX, but if another application such as Skype has changed this setting, then you will lose some of the audio in FSX until you either a) change the device in the windows panel, or choose something specific in FSX.
In my case, I simply changed the default devices in the control panel and all the sounds worked again.
