Just downloaded theFSFlyingSchool 2011 Demo.

WOW.. Working great.. But then.

I then noticed a feature for "Speech Recognition"

Time to setup windows to allow this.

I had todisable the default sound device (on board sound card) because my USB head set would be better.

Did the Speech Recognition training with out issue.

Started FSX and then FSFlyingSchool program.

BANG.. Error 380

Uninstalled, Reinstalled, Uninstalled & deleted install location. Reinstall..

Each time with a reboot. Even tried the "SFC /SCANNOW.

Damn.. Still not working. I will trash FSFlyingSchool program later.. Time for a flight.

Enabled the sound card and started a normal flight from my local

White Waltham EGLM to EGTB Wycombe Air Park.

Accidentally clicked on FSFlyingSchool and noticed it started.

WHAT!!! it works. HOW!!!

Looked in settings and noticed I had set up "Sound Card Setup (Advanced Users Only)" to OTHER and had selected the default sound device.

If I select USB headphones, Save Sound Card Settings. Close program.

Remove USB HeadPhones and open FSFlyingSchool program.

BANG... Error 380. YAY I can duplicate error...

Plugged USB Headphones back in all all is well.

The only problem I have is I now can't use Windows "Speech Recognition"

Just does not start. Maybe it's to do with UIAutomationCore.DLL which I need to remove just so I can play FSX on Windows7 (SFC restoredthe dllwhen I ran it)

I will work on this problem.

Hope people find this helpful.

The Error 380 problem is easy.

When you plug in a usb sound device and change the soundsetting in FSFlyingSchool, and save the setting. AND then close FSFS and unplug your USB sound device - then when you start FSFS again, it will look for a sound device that is not there - hence the error 380.

So what you do is - if you use the USB sound device and change the settings in FSFS, then CHANGE the sound setting BACK before you shut off FSFS. This way, no matter if you have the USB sound device plugged in or not, the next time you start FSFS, it will work.

John Paul Jones (12/12/2011)

Many thanks, I just bought the FSFlyingSchool Pro + Voice Command Pack.

I see my Christmas filled with many happy hours hearing MrWhite.

Did notice that the other 3 instructors don't fly a 737, maybe you could put them on a training course.

Great work and have a great Christmas.

Thanks for your purchase - glad you are looking forward to flying with it!

And yes - poor Mr Smith could use a break from all that training he does - we will try to get him a relief crew for that Boeing!
