Hi -

It sounds like the file cannot be written due to Windows security.

Rest assured that FSFS runs with XP, Vista and Win 7 - 32 or 64 is no problem.

Windows security has become so tight that in order for FSFS to function correctly it is necessary that:
- The same user installed FSX and FSFS and FSUIPC.
- That same user is running FSX and FSFS.
- That user is an administrator on that PC.
- It may also be necessary to right click on the shortcut that launches FSFlyingSchool and choose "Run as Administrator" in order to avoid problems with Windows Security.

Please check and try these and let me know how you get on.

Yeah I found it as clear as a bell in the forums-thats why I called myself a Pratt-I should have looked there first.

Yes its my first week with Win7Prox64 and although its a blessing for flying X-Pl;ane (Its really quite an amazing upgrade from XPx32) the security thing is bugging me too- it wont even let McAfee run properly but directs me to a WINDOWS based site where I can BUY McAfee??? And with a customers helpline at £46 per question where do we go from here?? Thanks anyway appreciated. Cheers.
