This is a cheeky post from someone who hasn't even paid for the product yet, but here goes.

I run x-plane across two computers, a fast linux machine as master, and crappy Windows XP machine as Instructor Operating Station (IOS). My goal is to run FSFlyingSchool on the Windows machine with x-plane rendering options minimised, whilst actually flying the Linux machine. BUT.... a pixie in my wires causes an offset in control surfaces of 0.008 between the two boxes; E.G. the linux box reports an sbrake value of 0.000, the Windows IOS reports an sbrake value of 0.008. The consequence is that I can't even get off the ground without FSFlyingSchool nagging me to retract my spoilers, repeatedly, aaargh!

The technical solution should lie within X-Plane's bailiwick, but no answer seems forthcoming. I turn meekly to you guys. If the control surface test in FSFlyingSchool was less rigorous, e.g "spoiler value < 0.05" instead of "spoiler value = 0", applied to all control surfaces, the nag would disappear.

I appreciate this would increase your sales numbers by only a single digit, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Best regards, P

Hi -

This could be something that we adjust with the next incremental update to the X-Plane product when we publish it. I can see no harm in it and if it helps then all the better!
